Serena forfait

She doesn't intend to play Rome, so, at present time, the options are Charleston or Madrid.

how does being at a party and the beach relate to her being able to step on a court and give her best?

No argument on either point
But Serena does her regardless. She knows she shouldn't be wearing heels...but it's not like we know the situation better than she does.

If Serena doesn't play Miami, she won't play Marbella on clay the next week

I watched that match live last year and she didn't tank. She lost in 3 sets and she was in visible pain and limping. If she was going to tank she would have lost in straight sets not three. She tried, and I know TankRena when I see her.

What relevance does this picture have to do with Serena pulling out of Marbella? Mediatakeout is trash and the people who visit the site are low class.;)

Who really cares about MM events? But which really impress me about Serena schedule is this facts:
OUT of WTA 16 biggest events (GSx4, YECx1, PMx4, P5x5, 1M$x2) in last 12 months Serena is totally or technically OUT of 9 this big events but still managed to be WTA#1 :worship:

Miami/10: OUT of Event
IW/10: OUT of Event
Dubai/10: OUT of Event

Logistically, It didn't make sense for Serena to travel to the South of Spain (for a small tournament) next week, play in red clay, come back to the states to then immediately play in Tier I Charleston on HarTru....

Smart for her to keep training and working out here, play Charleston.....skip Rome and train on red clay and be firing on all cylinders by Madrid ready for FO. Trust me folks Serena has played it smart this time. She wants it.
