Nicole Vaidisova is the most important player bornt in 1989, I mean it's like you say, ''Graf is no longer a player, she doesn't exist''. Also my favourite player bornt that year

Ooopppss... I genuinely completely forgot about her :o
Since I went with the ranking for the poll options, but she could've replaced Kulikova's place nicely.

Less than two years ago when Henin retire (may 2008) and when 1987 born girls has 20-21yo like 1989 girls today, it seems that 1987 generation will be one of most dominant ever: Sharapova and Ivanovic was #1 and #2, Chakvetadze is still TOP8 (+ some promising girls like Peer, Safarova, Kirilenko, Rezai...) but very soon is happen unexpected disaster... so it's very hard to talking about bold predictions in womans tennis.

Also thread starter make big mistake when only criteria to put some 1989 on this poll is this week ranking! Former tennis player TOP10 Nicole Vaidisova is only 1989 multiple slam semifinalist (and only overall with Wickmayer and Cibulkova), but she is not on this list:confused: Also 1989-girls Michaela Krajicek and Sesil Karatantcheva is both former TOP35 and former Grand Slam Quarterfinalists, unlike Dulgheru, Bacsinszky or Kulikova from this poll which never reach better ranks than #48 or better GS result than 3rd round! It's simple wrong.
