No confidence booster for anna.she was up 3-0 in the second set she needs help really bad she is free falling and pretty soon she is going to lose intrest in playing.I hope she can find her way again soon.I was rooting for her with this match.I like radwanska but i wanted anna to win to give her some momentum in beating a top ten player.oh well

Came back from 0-3 0:30 (if I remember correctly) in the 2nd set :)

good match from Ana, could be a little confidence booster..I hope it it was. I'll have to see if I can find it online.

But the problem is, she's going to facing top opponents early form now on, if seeding holds. Her next match, she could find herself facing a top eight player in the second round. Or even the first.

She's not gonna get to feast on scrubs anymore. Finding her form now is gonna mean finding it facing the sharks.

It seems that Ana back many elements of her old game, but she must work hard to be once again "competitive" player which know to play under pressure. In both sets at *5-5 she was broken to love, and also in 2nd set from 5-7 3-0 30-00* to 5-7 3-3 *15-40 she again have that "club player" game level period when she lose 15 out of 18 points (against TOP10 opponents it's very hard to survive such disaster). Than she regroup somehow but at 5-7 4-3 40-30* wasted crucial BP.

To be fair, she lose this match more likely already in 1st set when her serve is so pathetic (total service points won - 32% :tape:) that 4 breaks in same set against ultra consistent Aga is not enough to win opening set.

Good thing for Ana is fact that now coming claycourt season where she always feels most comfortable. For player which own demons is worst enemies on court that is important.

Nice try Ana, Hopefully you got some confidence out of this.I don't think. More than current #58 ranks in her own perception she is former #1 player. So this tight lose against TOP10 in-form Radwanska is actually more painful for Ana than some of previous easy meltdowns against mediocre players. She want this win so badly... but still lose

Ana is a BYE these days. Will she ever be decent again? Probably not. After hired new coach and 6-7 vs Clijsters and 5-7 5-7 vs Radwanska she seems to me much more promising than just month before.

But IW upset vs Sevastova, and pathetic performance todays at end of both sets at *5-5 is also proof that she is still not even close to real comeback. If she stays injury free, but still not regroup to at least TOP20 level on clay, her favorite surface, I will be very worried about her future (not only about this season).

She did do that after the US Open. It didn't work. What she needs to do is play more. She doesn't have much match play the past 12 months. Adding more tournaments, specifically smaller events to her schedule. :)

I will copycat here my comment from Ana's pics thread, because Ana haters deserve some lesions about her real personality which is recognized by tennis crowd around world already long time ago:

http://d.yimg.com/a/p/sp/getty/47/fullj.8bc92faf345b61370e82df2b6bd31f35/8bc92faf345b61370e82df2b6bd31f35-getty-93198073mh045_sony_ericsson.jpg

:sobbing:Stupid organizers :weirdo: put showdown between 6th seed and former #1 on 4th court which is without Hawk Eye system. If there is same number of wrong calls on both sides it still way more damaged Ana which is of course way more nervous player yesterday and don't need too much to lose control :help:

Ana showed signs of improvement despite losing a gripping third round match against sixth seed Agnieszka Radwanska at the Sony Ericsson Open. The 22-year-old played some of her best tennis of recent months, and showed magnificent sportsmanship in conceding a point to her opponent, but could not avoid a 7-5, 7-5 defeat.

...

The sixth game heralded the beginning of a compelling sequence of drama. As Radwanska served at 40-30 Ana hit what appeared to be a clean winner, only for the linesperson to call it "out". Ana, and several among the crowd, was incensed, and she looked incredulous as she prepared to serve at 3-3.

She fell 0-30 behind and then, remarkably, she herself over-ruled a Radwanska shot that had been called "out", thus giving the Pole a free point and taking the score to 0-40. At this moment Ana was determination personified and she reeled off five consecutive points to take the game and a 4-3 lead.Ana want this win so badly and desperately... but she still not lose her spirit:angel: of nicest star on tour (together with Kim Clijsters and Venus Williams).

Ana Fans don`t have to worry anymore. It is already looking better.
Ana is on her way back.

She looked even better after losing to Serena last year in Dubai, but after that :tape:

Considering that she beat both of these to win her 'easy ass' Slam, you could say she is :wavey:

 My parents told me about it  Not suprised though considering that polish TV stations doesn't care about tennis. I remember that TVN used to show Safina's picture while talking about Agnieszka in the sports news :tape: Not to mention situations like eg. last year, when TVP forgot to inform in their sports news about result of AO mens final.

well done Aga :D really like her since IW

good match from Ana, could be a little confidence booster..
I think Ana needed this win. It's been too long since she had a notable win. If she keeps her eye on the prize and works on the fundamentals, especially her first serve percentage and speed, I believe she can work her way back into the top 10.
