On the serve, Oudin won 5 of 23 2nd serves. That will get you beat all the time

Vera has a tough draw. Probably Alisa next, Justine/Lena winner looming in this section

Wow Melanie. She is indeed slumping. Not surprising, now we must see if she can handle it.

Haters are just so twisted and pathetic, she never did anything except play some very good tennis.

Nice job Vera, she must have played well :).

Thank you for your thread title....even as an Oudin fan I think I would have been compelled to use Znonareva thrashes, clobbers, steam rolls etc.

Melanie, I'm starting to think some of your runs may have been flukes. You need to fix your serve and learn to return--this is embarrasing.

I can't stress enough how well vera played. Oudin didn't play a poor match at all...I'd argue she played better than most of the women out there today, but vera was just on fire. Just winner after winner after winner. I have a couple of videos that I'll upload Sunday/Monday.

Zvonereva is a good player, but Oudin shows me very little other than covering territory. Errani shows me a lot more than Oudin, just ask Klaybanova.

I wonder if Melanie will sink back into obscurity soon. This match should have been much closer. Zvonareva is not even the creme de la creme of women's tennis.

Nicely done Bepa. For sure :D and agree 100% about the haterz. What is the thing with all the hate filtering through the keyboard? .. Some really sad people.

I am by no means an Oudin fan. Not at all, but what has the girl done but try to break into one of, if not THE most competitive sport? ..

All the insults and rude remarks on this forum IMHO discredits the poster and not the player. It must be a way for some people to find validation in their own life.

I have only one advice to the haterz: Seek :help:

It is my thought that Oudin needs to play many matches this year, get some quality coaching, and beef up those shoulders and arms. I believe that next year will be a barometer as to how far this young player will go.

Vera playing her best game shouldn't lose a set to Oudin anyway, so not a surprising result in the least bit. Doesn't speak poorly of Melanie, she's just not the caliber of player that Zvonareva is when she's putting it all together.

i don't think they were flukes...i think when oudin is hot she's full of confidence and rides the wave playing good tennis...she doesn't seem to be able to handle the cold moments in her play, and at this point she has more cold than hot moments...she either has to stay warm - hot longer or learn to win while cold
