Oprandi is this year 16-3 and won 2 weeks before the ITF Buchen in Germany:shrug:
She also defeated Barrois and Kutuzova before, so I think it isn't such a big surprise:shrug:

Well, the scoreline also seems ok, at least in 2nd set.

Nevertheless, Marta is way better than Oprandi, so very disappointing result :o:bigcry:

I am not sure if tennis is still a priority for Marta. She may be playing because her family and friends are expecting her to do that. I really don't know. I wish she made up her mind one way or another.

If tennis isn't top priority, you don't go to Jersey. Romina is a former 46 and is now in a good run. Marta has simply been unlucky to face a good player.

Got to agree. :yeah:

Romina seems to have reinvented herself as a fast indoor court specialist. It will be interesting to see how she does on her former favourite surface during the clay season.

I guess Marta will soon shake hand with Yan Zi as a looser of the match if she keeps going like that.

I really do not see the surprise in this win , Romina was the favourite anyway, she was the better player of this two before her injury, and this year she has had great results so far, it seems she is finally committing to tennis full time, opposite to Marta....I am really looking forward to see Romina in higher tournaments...I have a felling that if she keeps fit she can go back into the top 100 very soon, maybe even top 50. Good luck!!!

Oh come on, we all know you hate Marta:rolleyes:

She won't retire this or next year, surely not:p

She just had to face a good player, who has a good run lately:shrug:

Anybody knows what will be her next tournament?

Q in Marbella maybe?

From taking a set from Wickmayer to losing in 1r of 25K... That is so 2007

Wojtek probably died of laughing ;);)
