I don't have that issue. Maybe Chrome is too smart? Interesting to know that when that lawsuit/threat went down, the ATP bought (took) the URL. Convenient. Business is business, I guess.

ATP does the maintenance of both the ATP and the WTA websites. They probably changed the routing for the URL

Your (or your ISP's) DNS cache needs to be updated.

Edit: Both wtatour.com and wtaworld.com have the IP-address 216.134.208.17. When entered directly this address leads to the ATP site.

Edit 2: www.sonyericssonwtatour.com and sonyericssonwtatour.com have the same IP address 96.17.8.41, belonging to some company in Cambridge MA. With www. you get directed to the WTA page, without you go to the ATP page.
It seems to me the IT departement at the ATP HQ need to reconfigure their shared host environment.

This will always wtaworld for me whether the damned thing redirects or not.

yes, but most in here dont use shortcuts, we just type in www.wtaworld.....and it always redirected us here regardless of the name change.... but not anymore....

I registered the name www.wtaworld.tk.
It should redirect to this site (with a couple of minor snags)...

If you like wtaworld.com and want to use it

open '\windows\system32\drivers\etc' directory
find a file here named 'hosts' (it's a file without any extension)
edit this file, for example using 'Notepad' built-in editor
put a new line

74.86.67.162 wtaworld.com

and save it

Quite undignified for ATP to do it in such a crass manner, they could have come up with a redirect message as opposed to going straight to their website.

I don't like their website anyway.

Happened to me this morning at work too.

BTW WTAworld is cooler than #@~(/forum or whatever generic name they want to give it.
