Calm down everyone, I'm not trying to regurgitate an old story but I'm wondering if Serena will still be fined at IW in light of her injury that is keeping her out of Miami. I ask the question for this reason: While players like Safina choose not to play IW due to an injury, Serena did not play due to a boy-cott of 8 years running. Since she is not well enough to play Miami, one could reasonably assume that she was also injured to play IW. However, because of her on-going boycott, is the WTA still likely to fine her the way they will fine Venus?
Thoughts anyone?

Serena nor Venus won´t be fined, they didn´t last year, and this year they won´t be fined again...

The WTA wouldn´t dare to fine them... and thos off court activities they were supposed to do, every one forgot about them! The Williams can do whatever they want, because they´re the best players of this era

I believe they were fined. Serena close to 450,000-500,000 and Venus around 150,000. Something close to those amounts.

They will not get bonus. Serena as year end #1 is entitled to $400,000 bonus, provided she plays all of the Premier Mandatory tournaments. Venus as year end #6 is entitled to $150,000.

lol maybe they'll drop out from some more Premier Mandatory's since they have less incentive
