well Caro will rise to SEWTA #2 for sure during the clay season when Safina loses all her points :bigcry:

but in the the meantime, little hero Jie is someone that can prevent it from happening here in Indian Wells :p

so happy that Jie is facing Caro instaed of Golden Flower Killer Nadia :tape:

in their last meeting in Toronto, Jie beat Caro in straight sets

To you she may be a "little hero" because she's Chinese, but if Zheng was world #2 then people here would be bashing her game too.

I say Caro in two tight sets.

Okay her serve sucks but she has awesome groundstrokes and a solid net game. Zheng is so much more complete and fun to watch than Woz. :help:

Tough for me to choose who I want to win, but I'll go for Zheng. Semi final of the Aussie Open and Indian Wells would be awesome for her resume.

You're quite defensive about a player simply because she is from you country. Perhaps its a communist thing?

Their first meeting was all the way back in 2006, who was Wozniacki then?

This is Jies home now.

Technically, no.

See, it was Dani's home in 2007, then she got beat by Sharapova so it then became her home. Sveta then took care of Sharapova, so as a logical consequence it became her home. Following this, Ana took over the home ownership, but she lucked out against Vera Z the following year, thus making it Vera's home. We all know what happened next. Samantha Stosur is now officially the home owner.

Hope this helps :wavey:

what is should or shouldn't? why don't you say Caro should not t=make this QF if Vania don't choke or Petrova don't make any UE?

I have said caros win was hollow.

Its a simple observation, if Sharapova could have landed a serve in the box, she wins.

Zheng played well, but she was done and finished. There arent threads in here about the Sharapova of old being gone, for nothing.

What is communistic about someone believing in his/her hero's winning chances based on the head-to-head stats which are favourable (however inadequate the stats by themselves may be)?

Your're quite defensive against someone's opinion of a compatriot player. Perhaps it's a rapist-offspring/convict-breed thing?

It was laughable listening to Petrova's coach tell Petrova on the sidelines that Wozniacki's backhand was not that good. In reality it's the best part of Caroline's game. If Zheng can keep the ball on Wozniacki's forehand, she can advance to the semifinals. Ducksoup can cover a lot of terrritory.
