Hi Guys.

Before I'll tell you about her injury.I just want to set the record straight! The reason I haven't been posting messages here for a long time is because of the fact that there are so many "HATERS" in this forum. Needless to say, sometimes it's just to overwhelming to read All the lies and Garbage they post here. But as the saying goes, You can not please everybody. Anyway Being Anna's friend I just want to really Thank You Guys for standing up for her and showing her the love and support, especially this last few years. It hasn't been a smooth ride for her. Honestly I myself is just as supportive as you All. If only you All know what's it like to be in her shoes? Well in anyway I do. It's not easy. Being on the public eye , and just trying Hard to keep her cool and composure is not easy. She is normal just like each and every single one of us, who gets good days and bad days. If she wins she's the Anna you like, If she lose's She's the Anna you don't support. Win or Lose , Being a true loyal supporter, Isn't it supposed to be Neutral? Believe me I feel All of you, After All I am still a tennis fan and Forever will be. One thing I've learned in life is to Never ever give up. One day her star will shine again, and if doesn't happen again at least she tried. I tell you all hearing too much trash , garbage and fabricated stories about her and some tennis players , is just too much. We sometimes think that we know them Inside Out. Before we say something to someone, Why don't we pause and look ourselves in the mirror. Before you point your fingers to someone try to check where the rest of your fingers are pointing?. Anyway I think I've said enough. For the record I just want to tell you All, her true fans. That she is in fact injured. She twisted her ankle. She called for the trainer and asked for some treatment. After trying so hard to feel her foot and be a good sport to finish the match, She was forced to retire. Knowing her , it's not like her to just quit and give up on matches just like that. But this time it was a different story She was in pain. And to avoid further damage she opted to retire. When I talked to her I just felt every single minute of her emotions. Needless to say She felt so bad that she just told me when is this injuries or misfortune going to end. But She's a fighter and Never believes in giving up. The doctor adviced her to rest up for a good 7 to 10 days. Let's All hope and pray for her speedy recovery. You will get to read her new diary for the coming days. Thank you guys for taking a minute of your time to read my so called Letter or thoughts .

Sincerely,

Jayzbee

oh poor Anna...
i agree with you. i HATE it when people label her as a "whiny bitch" or something obscene like that. shes just an emotional girl who cares about her tennis! i really feel for her too; i would feel AWFUL if my opponent was serving for the match and i had to retire, but she did the right thing. why risk furthering the injury and missing extended time? she's a smart, sweet girl and i wish hert the best in life, her tennis, and a speedy recoveryyyy!!! :D

Don't worry jayzbee, I don't think Anna's real fans had any doubt that it was a legitimate injury retirement. The thing with Internet forums like this one is that because of their (mostly) anonymous and "virtual" nature, some people tend to act much more obnoxiously or immaturely than they would in "real life", i.e. when addressing people face to face. Also, it doesn't take much for rumors to get out of control, and for people to pass judgment based on hearsay or very flimsy "evidence". The other thing to remember is that the word "fan" is short for "fanatic", and some folks just seem to enjoy "hating on" players they don't like as much as cheering for their favorites. If you follow General Messages for any length of time, you'll see that just about every player gets bashed at one time or another, usually with no real justification. It really must not be taken too personally.

Thanks for writing jayzbee. It's great to have someone who's in touch with Anna posting here occasionally.

I wish Anna a speedy recovery and hope that she'll be healthy in time for Miami.

Thanks for posting. Obviously, when someone takes a timeout and then retires, most likely it is a real injury, anyone can see that, they just got nothing better to say. Not worth getting upset over them. Its unfortunate that some players take unnecessary timeouts, but we all know Anna is a sincere person and thats why we are here. All our best for Miami :)

the sad thing is it is not chakvetadze that makes people doubt her retirement, it is the likes of jankovic and bartoli who take time outs and retire for no reason and it reflects badly on the whole tour.

anyway i think in here, chaks forum, everyone is nothing but suppostive. i hope the injury heals up fast, 7 to 10 days hmmmmmmmmmmm thats right on the edge of miami starting, i guess we will have to look for signs of if she will, wont play at miami.

People are just going to say what they want. I badrep that guy who said she should finish the match, so thoughtless. Everybody should know Chak is going to give it all she got unless its only going to make the injury worse. She sounds quite dejected and I hope she and her coach can work on a positive mind set. I think she will try to play Miami, whether or not the sprain is 100%. Really bad timing that it happens during 2 big tourneys, especially with Henin's shock loss, beating Aga could have opened a nice run.

Honestly it depends. And regardless, she has to be there and let the doctors there check her injury to be eligible for valid reason for withdrawal "real injury"??? it doesn't really make sense if you ask me . For the time being she's in Indian wells continuing with the treatment. She is expected to fly out to Miami By late next week. Will try to keep You All posted next week :)

Thank you for the info.:yeah:

Better ignore the pathetic haters. BTW many other players have haters, not only Anna. For example there are a lot of mean jokes about C.Wozniacki.
Here in Anna`s Forum are only real supportive Anna Fans.:)

Unfortunate injury. Hope Anna recovers quickly!
Good to hear Anna is a fighter and never gives up!;)

The things being said about Ana Ivanovic are ridiculous. Even coming from some 'supposed' fans. They are only interested in winning.

I know! And that's why I'm very rarely posting there. They are acting like they won, I don't know 20 GS titles, and they criticize her like she is the worst tennis player! I can't stand them!
But, luckily, in Anna's forum, here are only true fans who stayed with Anna during rough times! :D

Before the year started Anna did a long interview with an Aussie reporter. I dug it up on google. But Anna should be giving out that information on her website. And twitter

I became a fan of Anna Chakvetadze on facebook a few weeks. But nothing has happened there.

Anyway, you cant read GM and take it personal.
Same with Anna. Message boards are not reality, they're opinion mixed with facts and nonsense
