 Finally! Cmon Stefi! She tried desperately to choke it away, I know she served for the set in the first and then was 3-0 or 4-0 up in the second. But after some horrible losses and so much inconsistency finally great to see her get a big win. Keep it up Stefi! :inlove:

In this forum it is a "bombshell" when Jankovic has a new haircut but this is REALLY a bombshell: Best win of her career, UNBELIEVABLE. And now against Kulikova a big chance...

Petrova hit 9 aces, Voegele 6 aces

Stefi :worship:

After a rather shaky start to the season she comes back with two good wins against Czink and Petrova in two big tournaments. This match turned out to be a major chokefest in the end but I would count this among her best wins, if not the best.

She'll lose, I guess... Kulikova is biiiiiiiiiiig lately!!! But I'd love to see her win again!
Go Steffi... Steffi for Swiss #1!

Nice to see Stefanie getting some good wins. It was always going to be just a matter of time. I'm sure there will be a few more banana skins on the way and I don't expect any of the up and coming players around at the moment to play great or even good tennis every week but I think Stefanie will do just fine in the long term and this match should be a positive boost for her.

Oh, Nadia.

She's one player I simply cannot figure out. She has, imho, huge upside and yet seems to fall on her face in the most ridiculous moments. Somehow, however, she remains in the thick of things. I keep expecting her to go the way of Vaidisova, Ivanovic..., et al who simply have one trajectory right now. Down. But somehow, Nadia has fought off her demons just enough to remain relevant. I just wish she'd have a big break through sometime (of course not at the expense of a couple of sisters I know ;) )

I couldn't agree more.
You can blame it on that clay season when she played like mad, and than got injured. That fucked up her career... instead of being top 5, she is losing matches against Voegele's...

Nah...that never happened... Stefani is 20 years old, and has been on WTA Tour only in the last two years...
