I just don't get why people get in here just to say that they're sooo happy Yanina lost, using stupid names, insulting her and saying they hate her. If you don't like a player, just stay away from score thread or threads about this player.
The way this board has changed in the last year  a shame! something really should be done about this and people who are not tennis lovers, but just people haters
don't belong on a tennis forum. They are just here to provoke people, ruin everything and make themselves interesting.

Enough said about that, too bad for Yanina losing another 3 set match, she definitely needs a good rest and then build on the win against Radwanska and her great match against Justine!

as for Shahar Peer, good on her! I hope she gets far so that they have to show her matches on tv :)

This loss doesn't invalidate anything Wickmayer has done over the past 6 months. Peer was always going to be a tough match-up. She's has been playing well recently and should be on her way back into the top 20. Their Auckland semi was very close as well. I don't think it's a matter of fatigue, though, as Wickmayer has had plenty of time since the loss in Paris. But just because she has improved rapidly doesn't mean she will blow everyone away from now on. She clearly has her ups and downs as we saw in the AO as well where she was close to going out in the first round of qualification.

Because it was not a center court scheduled match.
Zvonareva-Vesnina perhaps can be argued, but it was silly and petty not to put this match on center court over matches like Medina Garrigues-Mirza, Razzano-Sfar, and Pennetta-Czink. Maybe there are some arguments to be made in favour of Mirza due to her alleged popularity there. And Pennetta is certainly higher ranked. But Razzano - who is ranked below both Peer and Wickmayer - versus Selima Sfar? Of course, they are free to schedule as they see fit, but it does come across as more than little bit odious when you add in the subtext of Peer's nationality and the past history of the tournament.

I know right
She only lost 3 matches this year, and I think they were all wins in my book
The one against Henin was a good loss. Martic played amazing and Nina was tired from her back-to-back 3 set marathons in Fed Cup in Poland, and now she played Peer in Dubai and we all know that Peer gets motivated in tournaments where she is not welcomed, just like in Auckland

Seriously, they hate her grunting and complaining and think she doped, meanwhile most players grunt and it is normal to not shake hands with the umpire when several bad calls were made, and Morisicki is a moron for making up lies about how she didn't shake hands with Martic when she clearly did .

And they say she plays too much and doesn't deserve her ranking, meanwhile Flavia plays more than her and is ranked higher and no one complains about her

Terrible loss the next best thing

Do you ever say anything positive? :weirdo:
Like I said before, Shahar herself even said that haters are her motivation and haters is what she had in Dubai, so she must've gotten motivation
I'm not surprised that Nina lost

good win, but yanina has struggled to get a convincing win since the start of the season! sure her wins against top players are impressive but she's lost too many points/games/sets against nobodies!! for me, peer was the favourite anyway

Wow, Shahar.

I think all the tennis Yanina played in January is catching up to her now.

Luckilly she has a nice 3.5 week break until Indian Wells so she can rest and then come back strong :):bounce:

After the nonsense last year - really glad Shahar got a win here and against an opponent she wasn't expected to.

I never believed that Wickmayer is top 10 material...dunno why, but I don't think she can replicate "US Open" success this year...

At least she isn't a pusher like umm... Aga

uum the term "brainless ball basher" comes to mind. This girl is such a wannabe Azarenka or Sharapova it's ridiculous. If she's the "next big thing" why is she having such pitiful matches? Aga doesn't do that. Oh yeah Aga is ranked 9 in the world an the only place she can go is up! so please don't compare my darling Aga to your vile Witchmayer.

Well brainless ball bashers > pushers ;)
At least the brainless ball bashers win big tournaments

Right, because Schnyder definitely gives handshakes like that in every match she plays. Good argument there pal.

Ball bashers are better than pushers. I mean how many grand slams have pushers won compared to ball bashers? And I don't think Yanina is a Azarenka-Sharapova wannabe, she is just really annoying and not all that nice plus her attitude is not the best either but her game is fine I just don't like her

i'm quite happy about this.
not only because i am no fan of wickmayer, but really because Peer won in a place where a year ago she was legally denied participation of because of her ethnicity.
so good for her, she showed them.

How long is that gonna take? She reached N° 9 in mid 2008 already and here we are two and a half years later.

Since then players have gone and come but your ooh aah aga RATwanka is still not slithering upwards, contrary to your assumption. So it looks like your vile Rat-wanka is the one who has reached her max.
Your concept of time and age might need some fine-tuning. That would be one and a half year. Additionally, Radwanska is almost the same age as Wickmayer whom you just predicted a bright future due to aging competitors. Going by the same logic, wouldn't that be an advantage for Radwanska as well? Consistently sticking around the top 10 mark is no easy feat by the way. Presuming you are not trolling, you are not making a better case for Wickmayer by putting Radwanska down.

You are so damn stupid. What I was implying was that Aga has 0 points to defend from Dubai therefore she can only move up in the rankings. Also, Agnieszka has won more tournaments and has gone consistently farther in the slams. Let's see your precious bitmayet make it to another grandslam semi.

Stop trolling honey, it isn't flattering.

You might want to take your own advice, spare yourself any more humiliation. There's nothing I enjoy more than watching a fool like you embarrass yourself - but even I have my limits.

Let's see your precious bitmayet make it to another grandslam semi.

Let's see grandma-face make it to any grandslam semi. The last time she won a title was 2 years ago. No wonder you're so cranky. :wavey:
