^ "tennis wins"? :spit:someone's been spending too much time on mtf I see ;) :p

anyway I haven't seen Safarova play all week long but she must be in good form. Dementieva's been so close to winning here in the past though that I think she'll win this in 3 sets

This has been one of my favorite tournaments and the 2 people I wanted in the final are in the final. Whoever wins I know that if they keep up their level of play this week it will be a highly entertaining match.

Wow, my top favs are in a final together. Never expected it. I have no idea who to root for. If Lucie wins she will be points away from the top 30!! I have waited for that for so long, however title number 16 for Lena?? Ugh, I wish they both could win... However, I have waited for a long time for Lucie to make a breakthrough and win a big title so I think I'm gonna pull for Lucie tomorrow. But I'll be happy either way. I just want to enjoy this while it lasts <3. So fucking happy!.!.

However if Lucie is serving well, I don't think she will get broken whereas Lena is likely to be broken a lot.

Lena'd better wins it cuz she will not be able to perform good in Dubai due to reaching the final.

On the Paris website, it shows the new tournament trophy which is a weird blue alien ball/globe supported by 4 stands. Its meant to represent the truly global nature of the tournament. I don't really get it but I never really did get art much:sad:

Maybe Lucie will keep it all together and give Elena some doubt.

Safarova has been amazing this week and would deserve to win here, but Lena is such a grinder and over the last few years has enjoyed much more success in the finals... Tough to call, really.
Based on this weeks form - Lucie in two.
Based on fighting spirit and expirience - Lena in three.
Certainly looking forward to this one :)

Elena hasn't been hitting top form this week. Digging deep when she needs to, otherwise playing quite a passive game. I think the super fast court actually doesn't help her, as she her stroke production, while efficient, is largely open stance and the ball comes on to her, as opposed to she onto the ball. Lucie has been playing some great tennis from what I've seen, especially DTL.

Elena will either need to up the aggression (preferred option) on the FH side (as she can hit it so well and direct the ball anywhere) or be prepared for a DTL attack and unleash those amazing CC groundies on the run. I think Elena has the edge in terms of experience, consistency and speed.

Good luck Elena! :)
