I am not too worried about Danilina after she struggled :)
I know Loeb is under ranked but still
Also not worried about Lottner and Siniakova :D
They so should have won Doubles :o
The leads they had
She did well to save SP in First Set with Ace :)
I think being out of Doubles will help her Singles but I really thought they had a shot at the Doubles title :(
I don't know exactly how they lost as I expect Anett to beat both these girls losing minimal games and Emily is a good Doubles player

And from her Facebook:
Täna sain võistelda kahel korral. Üksimängus alustasin esimest setti natuke ebakindlalt, kuid teises setis oli tunne parem. Tulemus: võitsin Natalia Vajdovat 7:6 6:0. Natalia isa, Marián Vajda on Novak Djokovici treener ning ta oli ka kohapeal tütrele kaasa elamas.
Paarismängus tuli koos Emily Fanninguga vastu võtta kaotus 3-6 7-6(5) [10-3].
Again a bad start, she can't afford that in her next match. Sad that they lost in doubles but at least Anett can fully focus on her singles matches now.

Anett plays only doubles (with Carol) on Tuesday, good luck! Their opponents are Inoue/Miyazaki
Btw they won 62 60 in qualies.
Btw, just found out that Anett is on the entry list for Moscow 25k starting on the 18th of February. She is 5th alt atm, but there will be a lot of withdrawals no doubt (deadline is tomorrow). The 25k-s in Moscow were quite weak last spring, the MD cut-off was 450-600 for the three different tournaments I looked up, so let's see how it goes with this one.

Moscow is not even in her schedule on her website, they update her ranking but not the schedule :spit: I wonder why she didn't stay in Australia and play Mildura 25k instead, it is weaker than Burnie and Launceston, she would be in MD there.

Most likely financial reasons, she can't afford staying in Australia for 2 more weeks? Although according to the ITF site the hotel in Mildura for example is 65 EUR and in Moscow 90 EUR  And the flights to Moscow and back. Also, in Australia she would have excellent conditions for training in terms of weather.

Its because Mildura is on grass
Indoor hard suits Anett much better :)
And I think that she doesn't want to wait around to train on grass and then just go back when it doesn't benefit her season at all :)
I am not sure which one is a better choice, but if it is not inconvenient and I was her, I think i'd play Moscow too as it's like Yoshkar-Ola but nicer :)
EDIT: Moscow is really strong  I know she likes IH but I would have played Mildura as well

If she does only play the 1, then along with Tallinn she will have only played 4 Tournaments in the First 3 Months of the year :)
That puts her exactly on her tournament limit :)
I think that after that she should hit the Green Clay in America and play a few of: 25K Pelham, 50K Dothan, 50K Charlottesville, 50K Indian Harbour Beach and 25K Raleigh or play the 50K + H in Johanesburg :)

This is the rule:
A player is allowed to play in an ITF Women’s Circuit tournament during
the second week of a Grand Slam or multi-week WTA tournament
provided she has been eliminated from the singles and doubles of that
tournament prior to the ITF Women’s Circuit tournament Qualifying
Sign-in Deadline. Any suchplayer who is still competing in the Grand
Slam or multi-week WTA tournament at this deadline must withdraw
from the relevant ITF Women’s Circuit tournament.
Miami MD starts on Tuesday (instead of Wednesday like IW) and Tallinn has a Saturday qualifying sign-in (instead of Friday like Nassau had).

Anett wins 6-3 6-3 :)
Played well when she had to and played amazingly in the last game :)
That winner on MP :D
She would have smashed McHale if she was consistent

The stream quality was good but it froze all the time, looks like they need a better server for that.
I'm not too impressed by that first match to be honest, hopefully she gets better in the next ones :) The commentators mentioned her biggest weakness is serving.
Next up is Magda Linette.

It did improve towards the end.
But then it might have been cause lots of people closed their streams.

I agree. I know she held every game except one but Silich was hardly an agressive returner...
Anett played well and bad at the same time
Now Win :D

2nd match tomorrow, this means I can't watch again
Anett plays doubles with Ostapenko and they face the 1st seeds Jugic-Salkic/Sadikovic. However, Amra retired today (against Mervana  ).

Apparently Anett requested her matches to be played in the mornings. Perks of home tournament ;)

Anett lost 6-2 4-6 6-2 :(
Linette was good but from what I have seen Anett is worse than last year :(
Way too many unforced errors and serve is basically atrocious.
Had opportunities in the 3rd like when Linette missed the ballw hen she was on top of the net
Still, a good experience I guess and 8 Points but in reality a disappointing showing, especially given that it is at home
Still, I think Jelena and her must get a walkover as Mervana withdrew today :haha:
She would have had the perfect draw to the Finals: Leykina and then Sasnovich/Vogt/Vinogradova :sobbing:

Bad match from Anett. With such performances, top 200 is far away.
Actually lost a point compared to year away. Despite getting 5 points from Miami as a gift. Now has quite a few points to defend in the coming weeks. Not very likely, but ight even drop out of top 400 again.

Very disappointing indeed. No progress whatsoever comparing to the last year, it actually looks more like a regress indeed. Wouldn't hurt to improve fitness as well.
So next up is Edgbaston which deciding by the entry list is of similar level to Tallinn, but first she needs to qualify of course which with that kind of form is questionable.

I think that she actually at times didn't play agressively enough to justify how many errors she was making. Her depth when she was playing well was excellent but she was hitting so much in the net. She had great success when coming to net but then gave up :(
She does need to get faster :)
Still, she has Doubles :) Is that streamed? :oh: :D

In April she has to defend 10 from Copenhagen, 8 from Tunis and 8 from Chiasso, correct? And then up to the end of August there is nothing to defend anymore. Hopefully she can improve her form and still climb in the rankings.
Btw, how many tournaments is she allowed to play this year? Was it 16?

16 + 1 for reaching the USO final + grand slam / premier mandatory, if she qualifies directly + Fed Cup
