Much thanks from NAJ in the JJ forum :D

JANKOVIĆ the season will be practicing on her own without coach

JELENA dismissing COACH

It's time for change! Jelena Jankovic wins and eager to progress in the game, and on the list, fired Ricardo Sanchez, the first coach so far. Spaniard paid tribute to the bad advice that is given, but stagnation and Serb women in recent times. The culmination occurred after the Australian Open.
- Immediately after Melbourne I realized that I need something to change, so I decided to finish the cooperation with Sanchez. I want to be "own man" and to return to the game and instincts that have brought me to the first WTA list - revealed Jelena.
The following season, Jankovic does not intend to hire new professionals.
- The matches in Belgrade, I have relied solely on myself and it worked great. We will see what will happen to all below, but right now I plan to train without a coach, only sparring partners.
In addition to changes in coaching staff, the marina has been presented and much better game with improved service. The victory over Kuznetsov performed seven hours, with the success of the first service of 70 percent, and the other 88 percent?
- I did enough of that in the preparation period, but then I hurt the Australian Open where I have applied a different style of serving. But, again because of the injury I had to change something, so this is a new version to the Grand Slam. Motion is simpler and better. There is still room for improvement, but it is now much easier to play, especially on riternu.
Plans in the season our best players are clear - back on top, but with one condition.
- I have to have a game for it. Everything else is going on its own. It is important that I am psychologically ready and eager new victories and titles. I released any pressure, I do not have anyone to prove nothing, except itself - concluded Jelena.

SUPPORT audience in the win against Kuznetsova in the "Arena" was one of the main factors for success, says Jelena.
- Hands and heart, just as we did not throw out the mighty adrenaline. The excitement was really great and much better than when I play tournaments just for yourself. I am thankful to the audience to help - said Jankovic.

I sure hope she knows what she's doing :scared: :o

It's a risky decision for sure. But based on her play this weekend which was quite magnificent I could hardly question her on it. I think she knows what she is doing. But time will tell for sure.

Federer of the WTA :cheer:

It's a risky move, sure, but it's either make a move and improve and get back to GOAT form, or stay the same and continue to slump.

not that she was any successful with him anyway, so I don't what the hoopla is all about. She should have done it a loooong time ago.

She played good tennis with him. Summer of 06 and until meltdown at USO, parts of 2007 and the majority of 2008.

She even has her own "Mirka"...her boyfriend :cheer:
Now watch out 'cause she'll rule in WTA and break every record. :tape:

Before Sancehez Jelena also played on her own :) Only with mother Svetlana... And to be honest, there are only few things that JJ can add to her game. Her technique in my opinion is one of the best, and it simply depends on her, will she be passive or agressive? I just want to see JJ's smile, nothing else mathers :)

Hope it works well for her. Tour is more boring without the spice she adds.

It's Snezana :o

BTW, slump was very evident and this change will probably be good for her, even if she's gonna play without any coach, AGAIN ;)

Funny, because there were times when she drove me up the wall, but I have to agree with this. JJ playing well and enjoying her tennis is good for the tour.

This will probably be good for her - she's a smart player and I'm sure can figure out the majority of players herself
