I would like to know what are Anna's further schedule for this year. If anyone have these kind of information please post it here! :wavey:

dubai (not in MD, not sure if in Q or just a MD alt only)

Thanks Sammy01... It's weird that Anna doesn't have on her official site schedule. She has tournaments, but when you click there you get the first two tournament of the 2009.

if you go in the upcoming tournaments section of the forum you can usually piece together a players next few weeks of tournaments.

i saw chak was 12 out of MD in the dubai one but forgot to ask if it was MD alt only or if she was in Q.

i ask in the dubai forum, chak is 11 out of MD and in Q. so i cant see 11 players pulling out, so she will be playing Q.

i wish she had entered memphis, if she goes deep in the doubles or singles in pattaya she could be in a real rush to get to dubai in time for Q.

Yeah same here. With her current ranking she's basically gonna have to play the quallies to get in any big tournament with the exception of IW and Miami. She could have done well in either of the other two events. But if she does make it to the main draw and this being...well... the WTA, who knows? lol ....

i have asked in the dubai forum how far she is from the MD, with both ana and serena pulling out, at least she might be seeded in Q, not sure how big Q list is but maybe she will get aa bye 1st round.

i also think that she should entered some smaller tournament, because it would be so easier for her to be in main draw and plus she would gain confidence if she passes few rounds.

chak is not in the dubai Q drawn, so she can concentrate fully on her qtr final at pattaya tomorrow.

shes on the entry list for andalucia, shes in the MD there (the week after miami), she is on the provisional list for barcelona but the full list isn't out yet. madrid is mandatory so if she is ranked high enough will have to play it, though the cut off last year was like 59, so she would probably only make Q.

Andal and barce are great scheduling, 2 small clay tournaments, hopefully she can pick up some wins at.

This information is two weeks old. I doubt Anna will play next week after reading about her health problems.

i'd love to see her back, but your reasoning seems most logical and smart. her injury is clearly taking its toll, and she needs to make sure she is fully recovered so she can play her best in her comeback. this time away also may give her a bit of a mental break, which she of course needs as well. i wish she could play the clay, as it is basically where she is defending like a third of her points earned last year, but she shouldn't risk anything.

Yeah true, but this injury does not sound as major as Masha's. It seems like she has already got a few opinions so I am just guessing that they have gone with resting it. Of course, they may have had super secret surgery, quite possible.

ECM prague - Q (4 out of MD)

Portoroz - Q (5 out of MD)


i think it is good chak is playing these MM clay WTA tournaments after wimbledon. hopefully with a few withdrawals to she can get into the MD of a couple of them to. would like to see her play doubles at these tournaments to.

well i have it from someone that she wont go to the US till the US open. instead play the hardcourts of portoroz, instanbul and the woz open. plus the 2 MM clay tournies, so thats 5 pre US tournaments, all in europe 3 hard courts, 2 clay. this is her plan from what i gather. maybe she might add in new haven the week before the open if she isn't in qualies.

i think it is best for her, with her ranking she might not even get into qualies of some of the big us hardcourt tournaments. the route shes going she might sneak into some MD or be seeded in qualies at least for the tournaments.

would be great if she was seeded in tashkent, as although it is a slightly better draw than normal having vera ect in it, the unseeded players still look like itf tour girls.
