Anna's 2010 scheduleNena_xxx Feb 3rd, 2010, 07:20 PM I would like to know what are Anna's further schedule for this year. If anyone have these kind of information please post it here! :wavey: sammy01 Feb 3rd, 2010, 09:08 PM pattaya city (next week) dubai (not in MD, not sure if in Q or just a MD alt only) IW (mandatory) Miami (mandatory) Nena_xxx Feb 3rd, 2010, 09:23 PM Thanks Sammy01... It's weird that Anna doesn't have on her official site schedule. She has tournaments, but when you click there you get the first two tournament of the 2009. sammy01 Feb 3rd, 2010, 10:08 PM if you go in the upcoming tournaments section of the forum you can usually piece together a players next few weeks of tournaments. i saw chak was 12 out of MD in the dubai one but forgot to ask if it was MD alt only or if she was in Q. sammy01 Feb 4th, 2010, 02:23 PM i ask in the dubai forum, chak is 11 out of MD and in Q. so i cant see 11 players pulling out, so she will be playing Q. Nena_xxx Feb 4th, 2010, 02:54 PM thanks sammy01! ;) Edinboro Feb 9th, 2010, 03:22 PM Hopefully she will qualify for Dubai. :/ .... Maybe she should have entered one of Bogota or Memphis since the fields for those two events are very weak. sammy01 Feb 9th, 2010, 03:52 PM Hopefully she will qualify for Dubai. :/ .... Maybe she should have entered one of Bogota or Memphis since the fields for those two events are very weak. i wish she had entered memphis, if she goes deep in the doubles or singles in pattaya she could be in a real rush to get to dubai in time for Q. Edinboro Feb 9th, 2010, 04:03 PM Yeah same here. With her current ranking she's basically gonna have to play the quallies to get in any big tournament with the exception of IW and Miami. She could have done well in either of the other two events. But if she does make it to the main draw and this being...well... the WTA, who knows? lol .... sammy01 Feb 9th, 2010, 04:28 PM i have asked in the dubai forum how far she is from the MD, with both ana and serena pulling out, at least she might be seeded in Q, not sure how big Q list is but maybe she will get aa bye 1st round. Nena_xxx Feb 9th, 2010, 07:33 PM i also think that she should entered some smaller tournament, because it would be so easier for her to be in main draw and plus she would gain confidence if she passes few rounds. sammy01 Feb 11th, 2010, 04:15 PM chak is not in the dubai Q drawn, so she can concentrate fully on her qtr final at pattaya tomorrow. Daszmarelli Feb 11th, 2010, 05:04 PM Go Anna Chakvenus Feb 26th, 2010, 03:11 AM Pink Princess had it posted that Anna will be playing in Andalucia, Barcelona, and Madrid at least during the clay season. can anyone confirm?? sammy01 Feb 26th, 2010, 10:07 AM Pink Princess had it posted that Anna will be playing in Andalucia, Barcelona, and Madrid at least during the clay season. can anyone confirm?? shes on the entry list for andalucia, shes in the MD there (the week after miami), she is on the provisional list for barcelona but the full list isn't out yet. madrid is mandatory so if she is ranked high enough will have to play it, though the cut off last year was like 59, so she would probably only make Q. Andal and barce are great scheduling, 2 small clay tournaments, hopefully she can pick up some wins at. Anna is in the qualifying list of Rome: http://www.federtennis.it/pdf/RomeQ2009.pdf (don't pay much att. to the "2009", it gives 2010 Q :) ) The info is old enough and I consider it to be preliminary one. Let's wait 'till draws will be released :) The Singles Draw will take place on Saturday May 1 at 12 a.m...... The Qualifying Draw begins on Friday April 30 at 10 a.m. and on Saturday May 1 at 10 a.m. (http://www.internazionalibnlditalia.it/4/InfoProgramma.asp?LNG=EN) Besides, here's the qualifying list, Warsaw open: Polsat Warsaw Open QUALIFYING Acceptance list 1. I doubt Anna will play next week after reading about her health problems. dornik Apr 29th, 2010, 05:27 PM Here's the Rome Q list. Melange Apr 29th, 2010, 10:07 PM I think Anna is taking more than a few weeks off. Chakvenus Apr 30th, 2010, 01:05 AM i do wish that somebody, something ANYWHERE could give us even the slightest update. its agonizing not knowing anything of her condition, whereabouts, or upcoming plans for tennis. i hope we find out soon - i'm worrying myself into a coma!! goldenlox Apr 30th, 2010, 01:06 AM She has her own website. Anna doesn't want to give us any information about what the injury is and how much time she needs. Sharapova is the same way. You have to get the info when she is in the entry list Edinboro Apr 30th, 2010, 02:03 AM Thats kind of annoying to her fans. I mean I know its tough what shes going through, but im sure she could use the support from people who really care to know whats up. HowardH Apr 30th, 2010, 08:47 AM Private kind of person I guess... Hope she's getting better and will be ready to play RG. goldenlox Apr 30th, 2010, 10:57 AM Is her name on Warsaw qualie list? Then lets see if the comeback starts on red clay Melange Apr 30th, 2010, 09:45 PM I will try and make a guess here because nothing else is happening. Im not checking tournament lists any more, its just too sad for me. If an operation were needed, she would have already had it and we would hear about it. She is most likely trying to get over it by resting, so maybe its not so serious. I will guess she wont try to play until after FO, so earliest we will see Anna back is for grass. At the same time, if she needs to be completely recovered, which I agree with, it would not surprise me if she returns for the US season. Chakvenus May 1st, 2010, 12:05 AM I will try and make a guess here because nothing else is happening. Im not checking tournament lists any more, its just too sad for me. At the same time, if she needs to be completely recovered, which I agree with, it would not surprise me if she returns for the US season. i'd love to see her back, but your reasoning seems most logical and smart. her injury is clearly taking its toll, and she needs to make sure she is fully recovered so she can play her best in her comeback. this time away also may give her a bit of a mental break, which she of course needs as well. i wish she could play the clay, as it is basically where she is defending like a third of her points earned last year, but she shouldn't risk anything. cosmoose May 1st, 2010, 02:23 AM So nobody knows exactly what the injury is? Could it be that this injury is "mental"? maybe she can't handle the pressure of performing at WTA level  Melange May 1st, 2010, 03:33 AM Probably left achilles tear. Jason A. May 1st, 2010, 03:46 AM cosmoose, adding insult to injury is not going to help. If you listen to enough of AChak's interviews, the one thing that becomes abundantly clear is that she is always brutally honest. She doesn't need an excuse in order to take an extended break from tennis; Ms. Vaidisova has already proven that beyond a shadow of a doubt. Break My Rapture May 1st, 2010, 11:41 AM :bigcry: Anna will need to get through qualifying a lot if she loses all her clay season points. andrewbroad May 1st, 2010, 09:54 PM If an operation were needed, she would have already had it and we would hear about it. Not necessarily. Having an operation is a major decision, because it can mean missing months of competition, and there's always the risk that it could go wrong. So, many players take a lot of time to decide, and get different opinions from various specialists all over the world, before actually having the operation. For example, Maria Sharapova was out with a shoulder-injury from July 2008 to May 2009, having surgery in October 2008. Melange May 1st, 2010, 10:50 PM Yeah true, but this injury does not sound as major as Masha's. It seems like she has already got a few opinions so I am just guessing that they have gone with resting it. Of course, they may have had super secret surgery, quite possible. Sombrerero loco May 5th, 2010, 12:44 PM anna in the qualy of madrid? Foot's Fingers May 7th, 2010, 11:34 AM anna in the qualy of madrid? QD is out and Anna is not entered  sammy01 Jun 19th, 2010, 11:58 AM ok so going by what bits of info have been posted in future tournament threads, anna's schedule after wimbledon is; Budapest, hungray - Q (don't know how many out of MD) ECM prague - Q (4 out of MD) Portoroz - Q (5 out of MD) i think it is good chak is playing these MM clay WTA tournaments after wimbledon. hopefully with a few withdrawals to she can get into the MD of a couple of them to. would like to see her play doubles at these tournaments to. Melange Jun 19th, 2010, 12:08 PM Good luck dear Anna  Rafa_thebest Jun 19th, 2010, 11:53 PM Good Luck ANNA! so is she gonna play any tourney of the US open serie? Chakvenus Jun 20th, 2010, 05:16 AM ^^ i assume she'll attempt to qualify. those are her best tournaments, after all. sammy01 Jun 20th, 2010, 10:42 AM well i have it from someone that she wont go to the US till the US open. instead play the hardcourts of portoroz, instanbul and the woz open. plus the 2 MM clay tournies, so thats 5 pre US tournaments, all in europe 3 hard courts, 2 clay. this is her plan from what i gather. maybe she might add in new haven the week before the open if she isn't in qualies. i think it is best for her, with her ranking she might not even get into qualies of some of the big us hardcourt tournaments. the route shes going she might sneak into some MD or be seeded in qualies at least for the tournaments. Melange Jun 20th, 2010, 12:09 PM Yaay , i live see Anna live in Portoroz [: Lucky Rafa_thebest Jun 20th, 2010, 09:04 PM too bad!! i wanted her to come to America! ALL THE BEST FOR HER! :) Nena_xxx Jun 27th, 2010, 06:57 PM So, do we know where she plays next? sammy01 Jun 27th, 2010, 08:27 PM So, do we know where she plays next? budapest, potroz, istanbul and caro open.
