View Full Version : Why do some people say Martina doesn't have enough power to make a good comeback?

She proved that wrong in 2006, and just look at how well Wozniacki's been doing. She has even less power than Martina. Another thing a lot of people forget is that Martina's game was not a defensive one. She was neither a defensive or offensive player, she was in between the two.

Her serve is infinitely attackable and has always been a liability. Caro moves better than Hingis, imo and can stay in points longer, so her lack of power is less of a liability then Hingis' lack of power.

Martina is too proud to be a top 20-30 player. She won't come back because she will be entirely unsatisfied being a punching bag for the top girls.

And her game can't hold up in today's game. I'm sure her age will hold her back. She just can't run like she used to.

Because on that second serve, she doesn't.
