I'm sure a lot of people have heard of her as at the end of last year, as a 14 year old she took out a couple of good players in the Luxembourg Q rounds. Well I said it before and i'll say it again, SHE'S THE DEVIL'S CHILD.

"The diminutive but confrontational 15 year-old Russian has developed quite a reputation for herself in a short space of time and her penchant for intimidating umpires by persistent arguing and attempting to influence the calls of line judges have become notorious. “She is a pit-bull, pure and simple,” said Peter McNamara, the former Australian doubles champion who now figures amongst the elite coaching team at the Mouratoglou Academy just outside Paris. “She will fight and scrap and do anything. The only person I’ve seen argue and try and intimidate umpires more consistently is John McEnroe"

Interesting. I might have to watch the juniors final now, and here the other day I was feeling sorry for her because of her name.

I'm not sure I'd like to be described as a pitbull, though.

She lost a junior match last month (I think Eddie Herr) on a point penalty after freaking out when a shot was called out. Whats funny is that the out call was overruled by the judge, but she didn't hear it through her screams so continued to throw and smash her racquet to get the penalty.

Laura Robson shouted 'I hate this girl' at one point during their match.

Laura is reknowned for being 'feisty' but nothing like her.

Thanks for the video. Glad Flipkens won in the end. Couldn't have been fun playing against a player with such annoying come ons.

She obviously needs to grow-up (physically and mentally both)

Well she seems to have a better competitive spirit than most of the current top 100. :tape: So she will probably do okay in her career.

Can't say much for the nasty behaviour towards officials though.

Schnyder has never been that obnoxious on court and I think I've heard her say "come on" to pump herself up about four times in her career and Putintseva did it three times in that video.

Classic. :worship: I bet she felt pretty stoopid once she got into the locker room.

Cant wait to see her playing in wta. Finaly a clone of anastassia rodionova, we need more player like that on tour. Nothing wrong with feistyness, passion, charisma and playing with anger. Her attitude makes her performance better. Shes russian, that means that if she wants to become a pro tennis player, she will achieve her goal. Looking forward to see her pairing with rodionova, that should place doubles on the map, (maybe beat the williams in gs final!!!)

Keep it up yulia, it will be very interesting to see you beat the lazy, careless overhyped clowns on tour today (she wont beat sharapova because she will be retired!!!!):wavey:
