Shoot! I can't believe Hingis LOST to Petrova. Perhaps, the loss itself isn't so shocking to me, but the scoreline was. 6-2 6-2 :( Did Petrova even break a sweat?

What does Hingis have to do to get back to her normal self? She seems to stubborn NOT to work on her serve, and clearly she has to. What doesn't Mama Melanie tell her?

I just don't get. Come on Hingis, get with it!

she probably just need to found another person to blame than herself. like always she probably tell to herself: tyhis is not my fault if i play like that!!! Anyway Martina will never comeback at #1 in her life except when the Williams sisters will be retired or injured.

Don't worry, Hingis beat the favorite of the person above me numerous times by a worse score.

What Hingis has to stop doing is making errors. She was the Queen of consistence, but now she has made more unforced errors than her opponent in her last matches against SELES and VENUS for God's sake, the two highest-risk players on tour.

MARTINAS average 1st serve was 137 kph

NADIAS AVERAGE 1st serve was 171 kph

A difference of nearly 35 kph!

That's the problem.

Martina won 42% of points on 1st serve
Nadia won 81%

I know her serve is the problem. It's part of the reason she struggles against the top players. I have also noticed the difference in her errors. I live in Canada, so I got full coverage of the Canadian, and during her early matches, she was making SO many errors. She needs to get that back. I think she should have been more like Davenport and waited to come back. I just wish she would do something with her serve. It's clearly been hurting her for about 2 years now.

She seems to not care anymore. Her serve needs work and she doesn't have any velocity on her strokes. It seems to me tlike she doesn't really want to do anytihng about it...
Personally I think she can contend again, but she has to start caring and start doing some work instead of being in denial about the fact that she can't continue being a major threat with her type of game...

HINGIS just has to stay focus on her carrer instead of Sergio "GOLF" !

I don't really know, but here is one theory. I think that Martina has lost a lot of foot speed since her second surgery. So she is going for more on her shots and thus making more errors
