Draw released, here is her bracket:

Serena Williams USA (1) v Urszula Radwanska POL
Petra Kvitova CZE v Jill Craybas USA

Qualifier v Andrea Petkovic GER
Ayumi Morita JPN v Carla Suarez Navarro ESP (32)

Sabine Lisicki GER (21) v Petra Martic CRO
Varvara Lepchenko USA v Alberta Brianti ITA

Kristina Barrois GER v Akgul Amanmuradova UZB
Qualifier v Samantha Stosur AUS (13)
1R: Martic
2R: Lepchenko/Brianti
3R: Stosur
4R: Williams

Personally I really like this draw. Yeah Serena in 4th round is bad but she should (if she plays to near her potential) reach the 4R. First two matches should be comfortable enough, Stosur is in horrendous form, and then she would set up a clash with Serena. Made the 2nd round in 2009, a chance to gain some points.

Good luck! :yeah:

I think she can make it to the 4th round, and i hope Serena is in bad form and Sabine can dominate!

I'm off to Melbourne tomorrow arvo, I'll be sure to catch her matches and hopefully take lots of pics and maybe a few videos. Doubt I'll be able to get on the net though so you'll have to wait for it, not that there won't be tons of pics and reports by then!

Good luck. :bounce:

No, not really!
It stopped at *2-0 30-0 in first set, then it didnt work, but right in that moment,
when I checked again, it changed first into 61 *34 Deuce and then straight to 61 64!

Rezai is annoying. She always reminds me of this:
Unfortunately she is in her best form ever. But a slump will come, sooner or later.

She is a kind of pusher. So if Sabine won't make 60 or more UE, she should win this one. :)

Court 6 is a tv court, also court 8.

So there should be a stream for this match.

Yep, Court 6 definitely has cameras. Oudin played her first round there, and I saw pictures of it.

Surprising loss, certainly Sabine should be able to beat Brianti, but I wouldn't class Brianti as quite a pusher- when I saw her playing qualies in Auckland a year ago (or was it two years ago?) her serve was not big, she had little backhand to speak of, apart from a decent slice, but her fh was actually quite big for someone of her level. I would like to see some of the match though since I wonder what actually happened. The low break point conversion for Sabine is remarkable. I wonder what happened on those points?

With this kind of play she would lose against nearly any top 100 player.

I've been following Sabine's career since Wimbledon, where she did very well. Since then, she has not performed well at all.I know she has had few injury problems, but now she is fully fit. After todays performance (and it's not the first time)she let herself and her fans down badly. It's not that she lost...it's the way she lost.Sabine should go home, have a good cry and think hard about what she wants out of tennis. She has the ability and talent to mix it with the best.A big serve is just not enough these days.
If she wants it bad enough this is what she should do . First....GET A COACH that knows what to do.Cutting out stupid errors would be a start.
I believe her father has been coaching her.Well at junior level that might be ok,but not at this level.
I'm a big fan of Sabine and can see her winning Wimbledon in the future....but she must start turning things around now.

She hasn't done badly at all! She's defeated Dementieva and and won a lot of matches. her main problem is lack of experience. This will come with more play an time and when she gains more experince, she will start to hold on to her leads!

Horrible loss to Brianti, Sabine. :o:(:help:

Embarrassing.
Break Points Won: 3 of 18 (17%)!

What worries me is that Sabine reminded me of Ana Ivanovic these days in sets 2 and 3: Trying to be positive, but sooo nervous.
IMO it seems like Sabine can`t handle pressure well.
But that is exactly what is needed to become a Top 10 player...

Already happened, she lost to Kerber, which is incredibly great for Angie but definitely not expected!!!

It was perfect!:)
