In the video part, Aleksandra Wozniak gives her thoughts on the 2009 year. It's in french ;).

Basically she says:

1. She wants to improve her ranking (Top 20)
2. Her long-term goal...win a Slam
3. She likes Nadal over Federer. But she used to like Federer more. Nadal---she loves his desire to win each and everypoint.
4. Serena's outbursts shall not define her career. She is a great idol to young and she handled herself in the best possible way AFTER.

She can make the top 20 if she works hard enough, but a slam is completely out of the question.

I saw it on RDS, she seems really sweet. I love her. And the fact that she lives to minutes away from me by foot and Ive seen her hit at the park all my life makes me a little biased for her. Anyway, GO ALEKS :cheer:

I love it how the Quebec French discussion has a shitload of random English words thrown into it.

Although she did win a title in 2008, her 2009 was a much better season. Always tough to back up your breakout season and she did it extremely well and gave herself ample chances to win other titles. Just proves she was not a fluke in 08 and she belongs with the top 30. Once the consistency gets incorporated with her game and improved movement, there is no doubt in my mind that Aleks will be a top 20 player. No way in hell she is gonna win a GS, but she can always dream!:yeah:

Oh I know, and there's lots of French Creole, or at least was in Louisiana and the Caribbean. I'm learning French, and they're teaching us French from France, which'll be useful to me since I'll be living in London when I graduate college, and that's the closest other language in terms of distance from the UK

Her French is Quebecois, but she is also an immigrant with Polish background, which can be felt a bit in her way of talking. Mixed with the english she speaks every day, its kind of an intense mix.

Good for her to be going for a Grand Slam, but I can say that I'm leaving the board if she ever does it ;) And i'm not too worried

I hate France's french it's so impersonal and they try to pretend they make no mistake and everything, their version is the best on earth and bla bla bla...

I hate their use of english words in sentences such as "Allons faire du shopping"

But the french have style and charisma and passion when they speak...something Quebecois lacks....coming from Quebec (proud of it too) but i respect both individually...but prefer the Parisian way of speaking it...its the original and they are so classy.:wavey:

If you are from Quebec...the French will always know as they pick up on the strong variances on the way Quebecois choose to break up there words in english...to the French this is considered odd and not exactly correct form!

But whos to say which one is better? Its just different!

We have style, charisma (I would say arguably more than the french ppl) and passion when we speak too. And we can be very classy too. Plus we dont add random english words in every sentence and pronounce them really bad.
