Let's do Brisbane. It has a better field.

ma re
Dec 28th, 2009, 07:16 PM
Well I thought that, once we agree on who'll manage what tournament(s), the person chosen to manage the event of the first week gets to pick which tournament will be played. But that's just my suggestion and if we don't use that system I'm perfectly OK with either of the two.

It starts this Sunday, you know...Just thought we may hurry this up a bit :P

Any volunteers for Paris (it's just a couple of days away)?

If no one else makes a thread by Saturday evening I will do it.

We need people to committ to tournaments well in advance to avoid situations like in Paris, so managers can create the tournaments as soon as possible as well as knowing without doubt who has the responsibility.

So I'm going to commit to Dubai, IW, Charleston and Rome. Can you edit the original post with names as they (hopefully) signs up ma re?

I edited the original post, stated moderators as they applied and applied myself for some events. If any of you realize that you won't be able to moderate an event, please let us all know in time, so that someone else can take over.

I saw in the Charleston tipping thread, that you were looking for someone to manage Stuttgart. If no one has committed yet, I would like to help out.

Since you'll be running those you can pick which one we'll play, Budapest or Bastad (I applied you for Birmingham, but you have to pick one of these two).

Both Budapest and Bastad are fine with me. Maybe the decision can be made later when the entry lists are available and see which tournament would be better.

I guess I'll make up for forgetting Rome by signing up for Wimbledon. I can't take French Open because I got exams in that period.

May 9th, 2010, 08:26 PM
Why you are getting mad? I didn't mean anything bad! I also planed to organize Wimbledon but you just signed up before me for it and I say if you can't (which wouldn't be anything new  ) that I will organize it so I really don't see reason for your reaction because from me it was the best attention and you really didn't need to understand it wrong! :o

Tales
May 9th, 2010, 08:42 PM
How's that mad? If you're offended I'm sorry, but I really don't need back ups because I forgot a tournament(okay two). No one was harmed and I have done my share for this game before. As for Rome, I was managing Suicide Rome and wasn't aware of the Sunday start.

I want to have Wimbledon because it's in my summer vacation. For US Open I'm back for college and I can't predict that schedule now and French Open I explained above.

I think you are getting mad because of . Anyway, it is not important. I don't babysitting you and you really don't have to reason to think so. My exams also will finish soon so that it is why I also wanted to run it. Anyway, I just say I will run it if you can't because maybe something will stop you like before (and don't now think that I complain to you). I haven't tought anything bad and don't see the reason why you think that I want to babysitting you. And you really shouldn't understand me wrong. :yeah:

^^ You guys are signed up. In case no one applies I'll do the French, but don't let that stop anyone from signing up for it, cause I already said I'll do Warsaw before it, so it might be tricky to do it all in those crucial few days. Also, if I do end up managing the French, any help (with OOP's and stuff) is most welcome, as always:)

Tashkent & Linz please :)

Maybe I can do San Diego and the US Open? That would be my 1st Grand Slam :scared:

The time difference is about 9 for San Diego and 6 hours for the US Open, but I guess that is the case for most of us. So updates may be posted a little bit later. Hope this is not a problem. :p

ma re

^^ I've signed you up for the first two, but I didn't for San Diego and US Open cause you don't sound too sure you want to do those (or I just got that impression). So please say so if you want to do these tournaments when and if you decide to run them, take your time, it's no hurry to apply.

Also, don't worry about posting updates a bit later, everybody does them whenever we can so it's not a problem at all.

Grand slams are indeed a bit tricky to do, there's a lot of matches to keep track of, post updates, OOP's, and usually there's more players tipping then in smaller events.

So take your pick and let me know;)

Ive decided to run Guangzhou for the minute through some consideration as the tournament has the slightly better entry list at the moment with Li, Zheng, Schiavone and it'll be a nice way to kick off the Asian tour :)

Can I run Moscow, please?:)

ma re
Aug 28th, 2010, 06:55 AM
^^ Of course:)

Yeah, we have 1 slam, 3 premier events and 3 international series events left to play by the end of the season. Those who qualify will also play Doha or Bali, so it's a maximum of 8 tournaments by the end of the season.

P. S. Hope no one minds that Tales and I run Doha and Bali(?). Since we're kind of regulars here who took over the whole thing after Marco took off, we thought that this would be a nice way to end the year.

:wavey: Hi everyone,

I was wondering if someone could take over managing Tashkent? Sorry for the late notice, but I have to go to the hospital. Nothing serious, but I will not be able to update on Friday (and probably Saturday, maybe Sunday ) I will be able to update this evening and tomorrow evening.
