I hope they both stick around at least that long. They would be tough to beat for sure!

Too bad they don't like each other, so it just cancels out.

Besides, Justine already has an olympic gold medal so wouldn't bother to go through the ordeal to have another, while Kim is never interested in playing Olympics. Meanwhile, Belgium's only Olympic hope, Wickmeyer, has been suspended so you can forget about it.

Do you have to qualify in Belgium to represent the country?
THis could mean we'll see them play double in the GS.

GS double will be very interesting in the next couple of years.

Williams/Williams, the Chinese Team, Clijsters/Henin, Black and whoever picks, and the current double specialists veterans

I wonder who negotiated this deal.
It must have been somethings.

Late Clijster would not have approve, especially in the Olympics where there is drug testing.

Well 2012 is a long way, who know if they'll still be playing...

 Errr no. They are just rivals, but it doesn't mean they don't like each other. They were playing doubles a lot when they are younger, Justine was sad when Kim didn't play the same tournament. Weird, I know.

Kirilenko/Safina def Clijsters/Henin 7/6 - 7/5 (Fed Cup 2006)

I 'd love to see it happening but I really don't think it will. Justine may be still here (I hope :fiery: ) but Kim will be pregnant again or something like this. She wants another children in 2011-2012.

Even though they lost that match, the was some of the most stunning play in doubles I have ever seen

Poor Cara, Zimbabwe has been trying for sometime to produce someone for her to play with.

I'm just so happy there is a mixed event now and hopefully she and Kevin will be able to play.

It's such a shame she couldn't play in the doubles at Beijing as she had been the outstanding doubles player of this half-decade.

As for the topic, not sure how hard they would be to beat. Both of them have not played doubles (more than a couple of events maybe) in years and even less with each other. Plus Henin was never a standout doubles player.

I didn't see the match :( I'd love to ! I've heard they were having fun, they were laughing together and all this stuff

@Davodus :  How great this new is ! I would really love to have both Belgians at Olympics Games 2012, Belgium would be proud as hell  We have still plenty of time, we will see ;) Maybe Henin will retire BEFORE Kim again  :o

LightsOut!

I think one of the two will play with Wickmayer (who could become quite THE star until then) and the other one with some young chick like Hendler (e.g.)..!

Not unless one of them retire again.
