Patty Schnyder and Lucie Safarova are cute. Magdalena Rybarikova and Tsvetana Pironkova are nice. I like the way Srebotnik and Klara Koukalova/Zakapalova sounds. Alexa Glatch is also a nice name. Alot of the French girls have nice name like Alize Cornet, Severine Bremond, Camille Pin, Julie Coin and Nathalie Dechy.

As for the worst, Story Tweedie-Yates :tape:

I don't agree on the french names, not so beautiful, except for Amelie Mauresmo and first name Alize and yes also Severine, but not their last names. Virgini is also a nice name I think. I love 'Sanchez' too. Ana Ivanovic is also a beautiful name. :hearts:

My favorite name by a mile belongs to Zarah RAZAFIMAHATRATRA of Madagascar. :hearts: Just say it: RAZA-FIMA-HA-TRA-TRA -- and you too will discover its glory! I especially love the chant-like "hatratra" ending, which really calls out for an exclamation mark, if not several. :D

Zarah is 15 years old and lives and trains in Pretoria. She played in a 10K there this week.

Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (A horrible first name with a last name you can't even pronounce)

I will soon have to learn Noppawan Lertcheewakarn ;) (now I copy-pasted it)

It depends of what your first language is. For me Anastazija Pavljučenkova is very easy to pronounce and it sounds nice.
Ksenija Pervak sounds interesting: Pervak (well, "prvak") means Champion in my language. Roberta Vinci should have more success according to her name.
Vögele might sound funny for German (I guess her first language is German so she is well aware of it:lol:)

Personally I don`t like Spanish names (those double names and double surnames ... too long).

Sabine Lisicki, Caroline Wozniacki, Sarah Pitkowski-Malcor ugh!! :( in Poland women if they have those surnames, they have SKA-ending, SKI is for men only! I know they're half Polish half something but I'll never like that...

Gulnara Fattakhedinova :tape: but normally I like Slavic names, especially the Balkan ones, or from Czech Rep. and Slovakia
:) Daniela Hantuchova, Jelena Janković, Jelena Dokić, Dragana Zarić, Iva Majoli, Lina Krasnoroutskaya, Klara Koukalova (liked it more than Zakopalova) :)
Spanish are cool too (loving that language btw), like someone mentioned: Maria Antonia Sanchez Lorenzo, Marta Marrero :) Gisela Dulko, Clarisa Fernandez :)

The best:

Flavia Pennetta sounds gorgeous, especially the names taken together, usually all the Italian names are beautiful

Lucie Safarova - a special combination

Samantha Stosur - especially because "Stosur" is a rare name, I've never met it before, and the two "S" of the names sound so good

Sabine Lisicki

Elina Svitolina - especially because of the rhyme

The Slavic surnames, those ended in "ova" or "eva" sound gorgeous to me and so are the Polish ones

Names I don't like

Noppawan Lertcheewakarn
Olga Barabanschikova - the surname, although is slavic, sounds really annoying to me
Akgul Amanmuradova - it's hard to pronounce

There are more but these comes to mind

Agnieszka Radwanska sounds interesting but it's rather hard for me to pronounce

Funny names:

Luksika Kumkhum
Francesca Schiavone - I don't know why but I find it funny

There is. Nungnadda Wannasuk. I think she's Indonesian.

It's Thai name. Sounds funny to English speaking people who don't understand Thai. Something something with "Porn" or "Porntip" are also Thai's names, but the meaning is of course total opposite, it's like a "blessing".

For my Indonesian ear/tongue, names like Hantuchova is funny because it means ghost. Myskina means poor. Cibulkova, replace 'i' with 'a' and it means pervert.

Personally, I found Conchita's real name, Inmaculada Concepción, is over the rooftop though I know it's considered normal in Spain.

Hey, since you're polish, tell me what's the deal with the slavic names, I noticed that the male names end in ov or ski/sky and the female ones in ova and ska even if they are brother and sister, so the family name is changed according to the gender or what?

I know not a tennis player but worse than that is Anna K's half brother from her mother, he is called Allan Kournikova, so he has the feminine surname and neither parent is actually a Kournikov(a) (don't know Anna's mother's maiden name). So Anna's wonderful mother is trying to ensure he'll live off the Kournikova name.
