Her last tournament before her operation break (unless she receives a WC into Bali) is Luxembourg and she won R1 against Kvitova.

Kvitova was a finalist last week in Linz!!!
Hopp Patty!!!

Oct 20th, 2009, 08:03 PM
good luck against kim now.

Oct 21st, 2009, 12:58 PM
ALG and Patty have won R1 doubles against Coin/Pelletier with ease: 6-1, 6-1
Congratulations Patty!!

Oct 21st, 2009, 09:12 PM
They were serving up a treat in that match!

Good luck against Kim, Patty!

Oct 22nd, 2009, 05:59 AM
Will she be recovered in time from her surgery to play the Australian season

Good luck against Kim, a set would be a decent effort!:)

Oct 22nd, 2009, 07:23 AM
Good Luck today!!!

Oct 22nd, 2009, 08:54 PM
Hey guys! I know she isn't in my sig but I love me some Patty :hearts:

And she has won the first set over Clijsters 6-4:eek::bounce:

Keep it up Patty!

Oct 22nd, 2009, 09:00 PM
wow, wow, wow
6-4, 1-1!!
Keep it up Patty, you can win :D:D:D
Hopp Patty!

Oct 22nd, 2009, 09:40 PM
A break up in the third set but I'm still really nervous, especially as she's 30-15 down on her serve...

Oct 22nd, 2009, 10:26 PM
Patty wins :woohoo:

Oct 22nd, 2009, 10:44 PM
Amazing win over Kim :hearts:. I hope she has enough energy for tomorrow.

Oct 23rd, 2009, 02:12 AM

poor thing, next round will be another hard fight,it's about time that get a win from Liski:o

Oct 23rd, 2009, 02:20 AM

Oct 23rd, 2009, 03:34 AM
Exactly the right thread title I started :D
Incredible, Patty! I was right not to stop believing in you!!! :D:D
GL against Sabine...
Hopp Patty!!!

Oct 23rd, 2009, 04:48 AM
What a great win, completely unexpected:)

Not sure if a should expect another surprise next round, but heres hoping she can produce some more Pattyesque magic!

Oct 23rd, 2009, 05:11 PM
Unfortunately, Patty went down quite tamely today. Still, I'm proud of her for beating Kvitova and Clijsters. A nice ending to a disappointing year.

Oct 23rd, 2009, 07:01 PM
Schnyder rarely backs up big victories so I'm not too surprised but still a very good tournament because I don't think many people expected her to progress past an in-form Kvitova.

Oct 23rd, 2009, 10:44 PM
Lisicki is quite a handful, patty never got a look-in with her:(,it has set the seal on this season:confused:
Anyway,it rejoices my heart to see that whether or not she could get a WC into Bali, but from it we may deduce that she still has incentive to make a success of next season:lol:

Oct 24th, 2009, 05:49 AM
Sad that Patty lost in doubles too :sad:

Oct 24th, 2009, 09:28 AM

Let's hope so :) I'm sure she will because she's always been a big supporter of the Bali tournament and she said in her blog from last year that she received some sort of award from the organisers.

So fingers crossed :bounce:

Oct 24th, 2009, 09:28 AM
Sad that Patty lost in doubles too :sad:

I wish Patty would take doubles more seriously

Oct 28th, 2009, 04:57 AM
Patty received a wild card into Bali, INA, the international series year ending championships :D:D. Because she won the tournament last year!!

Oct 28th, 2009, 08:03 AM
hi do you know if its official schnyder got a wc? thx

Oct 28th, 2009, 06:44 PM
Patty did not want the WC, she wants to have herself operated and then recover fully..!

Oct 28th, 2009, 06:49 PM
Good decision then. Come back strong in 2010 Patty.

Oct 29th, 2009, 01:06 AM
A judicious decision:lol::drool:

Hope she can bounce back completely from her injury to go getting them in 2010:devil:

Oct 29th, 2009, 12:02 PM
Shame Patty isn't playing. This tournament would have been a great opportunity to get some fairly easy ranking points to get close to the top-30 again.

Anyway, here's hoping for a successful 2010

Nov 7th, 2009, 01:19 PM
sorry, one question: Is patty going to be operated? I didn't new anything about that..

Nov 7th, 2009, 06:30 PM
Yes, she is getting herself operated. She hopes to be back healthy for the AO!

Jan 28th, 2010, 09:47 PM
Good news! :bounce: Patty's on the Fed Cup team and she has also entered Paris and Dubai in the following weeks!

Jan 30th, 2010, 06:57 PM
Exciting :bounce:

Feb 4th, 2010, 12:21 PM
Patty lost to Dulgheru after wasting match points (6-3, 6-7(7), 0-6)...she seemed tired in the end and then she defeated Michelle Larcher de Brito 6-2, 6-4!!!
GL for the match vs. Martic!!! :D:hearts:

old zlobar
Feb 4th, 2010, 03:42 PM
Congratulation Patty!
This is the first victory in 2010 season :rocker2::music::rocker2:

Feb 4th, 2010, 05:03 PM
Patty :) Hopefully the match-rustiness has worn off now.

Feb 5th, 2010, 03:06 AM
First loss was embarassing enough, hopefully no more of them for the year (wishful thinking?)

Good to see her back anyway :) It has been a while!

Feb 5th, 2010, 09:11 AM
Cgrats on the win, Patty... you gotta get some matches under your belt, no matter winning or losing!!!
Next up is Martic

Feb 5th, 2010, 09:44 AM

Yes

Feb 5th, 2010, 02:29 PM
Schnyder def. Martic 6-2, 4-6, 7-6(0)!!!

Feb 5th, 2010, 02:31 PM

Feb 5th, 2010, 03:14 PM
Schnyder/Moundir def. Tomljanovic/Njiric 2-1 ret.

Feb 6th, 2010, 09:01 PM
Patty caught a cold and couldn't play the decisive rubber..! Moundir had to play instead and lost clearly  This way, Switzerland stays in EAGII ...
GL for PAris, Patty, recover fast!!!

Feb 6th, 2010, 09:38 PM
Patty  Please be well for Paris!

Feb 7th, 2010, 12:11 PM
Patty faces Razzano in the first round of the Paris Indoors. I know Patty isn't in her best form but Razzano has had a lousy start to the year so it's definitely a winnable match.

Wonder who her doubles partner is

Feb 7th, 2010, 05:07 PM
Patty vs. Virginie . I don't think she can win this

Feb 7th, 2010, 07:51 PM
I still have horrible memories of Razzano beating Patty I think at the Australian Open. That match is where I realised Razzano is an incredibly annoying player and poor Patty looked to be creeping closer to retirement. A win here would be quite significant.

Feb 7th, 2010, 08:13 PM
Razzano has lost six of her last seven matches too, including a heavy loss to Makarova at the Australian Open, who is in horrible form.

I'm quite confident.

Feb 7th, 2010, 09:50 PM
I also started disliking Razzano during their match at AO last year. Something about her just bugs the hell out of me. Hope to see Patty come through here, given she has recovered from her cold or whatever.

Feb 7th, 2010, 11:03 PM
The draw is sort of ticklish for her first official show of 2010 season.:(

From time out of mind, any of draws, however facile or arduous it may be,where I could't find a niche for her, difficulty anywhere.:sad::sad:

Anyway, welcome back,Patty, hopefully to be a good result in Paris;)

Feb 8th, 2010, 04:36 PM
Virginie is playing awfully at the moment, so Patty should take this one :)

Feb 9th, 2010, 12:42 PM
Patty and Virginie start now. So excited, Patty is back!!! :D

Feb 9th, 2010, 12:47 PM

Goal Patty!! :bounce:

Feb 9th, 2010, 02:04 PM
Patty dominated the first set 6-3!
Led 4-2 in the second, now 5-5...15-15...
Cmon Patty!!!

Feb 9th, 2010, 02:27 PM
Patty won 6-3, 7-6(3)... she is back!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D
"She says, she is happy with the way she played... solid...
Her serve was working well... played more down the line, so Razzano cannot hit winners.
She feels really well here in Paris, almost like a crowd favorite..!"

Feb 9th, 2010, 02:28 PM
And she is probably better then the whole last year..!

Feb 9th, 2010, 02:34 PM
I'm so happy! I'm going to the GDF Suez Open for the second round and QF (leaving tonight) so I'll be able to watch Schnyder in singles for the very first time! :woohoo: I saw her in doubles (with Goerges) last year in Paris but I've never seen her play a singles match. :)

Feb 9th, 2010, 02:40 PM
I think that Patty played an amazing match today  :hearts:
So focused, so solid! She hit many great forehand winners!
Look at the winners/UE's ratio, it's really impressive! :inlove:

Well done Patty! :yeah:
I'm so glad to see her playing that well again :worship:

Feb 9th, 2010, 02:42 PM

Can you take some pics plz???

Feb 9th, 2010, 02:44 PM
Can you take some pics plz???

Yes, of course :D

I arrive in Paris at 11.20am tomorrow (play starts at 11am) so I'm just praying Schnyder's match won't be first on court! :o

Feb 9th, 2010, 03:30 PM
What did Razzano do to Patty in the AO that a few people were talking about?

Feb 9th, 2010, 05:59 PM
What did Razzano do to Patty in the AO that a few people were talking about?

Beat her.

Anyway this is a pretty good win for Patty as Virginie played quite well.

I was really impressed with Patty's forehand today, and her touch is still there too- the lob at 3-2 in the tiebreak :hearts: I can't wait to see her back on the clay.

Now beat Oudin!

Feb 9th, 2010, 07:38 PM
What did Razzano do to Patty in the AO that a few people were talking about?

Its her whole attitude, its excruciating. She walks around the courts for ages and takes so long between points. Then when she is serving she does this fake ball toss, sometmes she has to chuck the ball up atleast 5 times before she gets it right. On return, she has been waiting at the baseline for a while but still finds the need to put her racquet up to make the server wait. Then when she thinks (WANTS) a ball to be out, she points at the ball and expects the lines man to cave in. When she doesn't get her way she starts complaining.

After watching an hour and a half of this, it gets really tiring.

ANYWAY!!! Congrats to Patty :) Fantastic to hear she is playing well, hopefully we don't get a stereotypical meltdown the next match. It would be a shame if she went and lost to Oudin :o. I want to see her beat Wickmayer:drool:. Anyway, if anybody could upload the match I would be forever greatful:angel:

Feb 9th, 2010, 09:38 PM
Great avatar, Ronoc!!!

Feb 10th, 2010, 12:04 AM
What did Razzano do to Patty in the AO that a few people were talking about?

Beat her with horrible footwork and lucky serves. I know, I'm bitter. I'm okay with that.

Yes, that lob was amazing. That shot and the forehand she hit down the line to hold in the *56 game made me smile.

Feb 10th, 2010, 08:34 PM
So what do we expect against Oudin tomorrow? Vetran vs. Child. Patty tends to play good one day then ya never know what to expect the next day. I think though she could win although Oudin is coming off two fed cup wins and a win against Cirstea.

Feb 10th, 2010, 09:50 PM
If she loses, I will cry. Oudin doesn't do anything that can really hurt Patty. But sometimes Patty falls into the trap of playing ultra-passive against players she should beat. We will see...but really, don't lose to Oudin :o

Feb 11th, 2010, 09:26 PM
I stayed for the first set but left soon afterwards. I didn't stay that late to watch Patty play such a bad match  :awww:

Feb 12th, 2010, 04:47 AM
New Patty my ass

Feb 12th, 2010, 07:30 AM

Feb 15th, 2010, 04:08 PM
Lost in singles and double. Bravo Patty

Mar 9th, 2010, 04:18 AM
Patty begins in Indian Wells against Tathiana Garbin.
should be winnable, but really, who knows...
c'mon Pattttty!!!!

Mar 9th, 2010, 06:28 AM
Its actually a decent draw for a motivated Patty, but I have no expectations....surprise me Patty! :)

Mar 9th, 2010, 07:12 AM
Cmon Patty. Win this match and then destroy Nadia just the way Steffi did in Dubai!!! Hopp Schwiiiiiiiiz!!!

Mar 9th, 2010, 07:53 AM
Garbin's hard-court form has been good recently but Patty should win...

Mar 9th, 2010, 09:40 PM
I have a feeling she's going to lose easily :help:

Mar 9th, 2010, 09:41 PM
Useless Patty in doubles with useless Dekmeijere :o

Mar 10th, 2010, 06:40 PM
Patty wins 1st set 6-1
And don't say nothing bad about Patty & Liga, they are a great team. Remember that final vs. Petrova/Mattek-Sands, where they almost won?!

Mar 10th, 2010, 07:03 PM
5-2, Patty serving for the match :hearts:

Mar 10th, 2010, 07:07 PM
6-1, 6-2. Only one break for Tax .
Great match Patty... now surprise us with a victory over Petrova!!!

Mar 10th, 2010, 07:41 PM
Awesome score! She has beaten Nadia many times before.

Mar 10th, 2010, 08:08 PM
congrats Patty!!!
i knew you could do it.
GL in the next round, i know you can take this one as well!
the surface at IW should suit your game!

Mar 11th, 2010, 05:30 AM

Goodluck against Nadia. Not sure what to expect from Nadia, she hasn't got many wins this year, but she hasn't had the easiest draws. Will be interesting to see how Patty goes.

Mar 11th, 2010, 01:24 PM
Yah agreed, but any win is good for her confidence at this point. :)

Mar 13th, 2010, 12:34 AM
Patty lost
but the score was close; 3-6 7-5 4-6
Patty though did NOT capitalize on any of the FIVE BP's she had in set 3...she let Nadia come back from 0-40 once...
anyway i'm glad she fought.
GL in Miami, Patty!!

Mar 13th, 2010, 06:49 AM
Great match anyway, Patty..!
Back to who we used to know :hearts:
GL for Miami!

Mar 13th, 2010, 11:26 AM
Good effort.

Mar 13th, 2010, 05:57 PM
Expected loss but a good fight Patty :yeah:

Mar 22nd, 2010, 08:07 PM
Patty has a tough draw.
first is Srebotnik, who hasn't played too well in singles since recovering from her injury, but if Patty gets past her then she has to play Daniela!!!

Mar 22nd, 2010, 09:49 PM
Hantuchova is not hitting the ball are hard or as accurately as she used to, so Patty should be able to move the ball around well enough to beat her. The draw is actually not that tough. First has to get by Srebotnik though...

Mar 22nd, 2010, 09:50 PM
A tricky draw but good luck :D

I wonder who she will play doubles with?

Mar 22nd, 2010, 09:54 PM
GL Patty, plz defeat Kata, she is in great mental condition after IW doubles trophy!!!

Mar 23rd, 2010, 03:32 PM
It's a nice draw, but she never does well in Miami. She nearly lost 6-0 6-0 to Kanepi a couple of years ago :o

Mar 24th, 2010, 06:00 PM
6-2, 6-7(3), 6-1
Great win!!!

Mar 24th, 2010, 11:25 PM
Now beat Hantuchova!

Mar 25th, 2010, 12:40 AM
yay Patty!!
play your best against Dani!

Mar 26th, 2010, 02:54 AM
Patty lost to Daniela 1-6 4-6.
served real well in the second and had a break point at 4-5 but couldn't convert.
ah well, the clay season has arrived for her after her doubles matches and i wish her the best in her favorite part of the year!!

Mar 26th, 2010, 07:13 AM
:tears: GL in doubles!

Mar 27th, 2010, 09:16 AM
Patty/Liga def. Dushevina/Rodionova 6-3, 3-6, 10-5 :yeah::kiss:

Mar 27th, 2010, 11:33 PM
nice work in doubles, Patty!
who do they play next?

Mar 28th, 2010, 08:56 AM
Raymond/Stubbs... will be difficult!!

Mar 28th, 2010, 06:41 PM
I think Patty/Liga will have a chance. Lisa/Rennae were pushed all the way by Pelletier/Goerges in the first round and I would have expected them to have won a bit easier...

Hope it's a good match :)

Apr 3rd, 2010, 10:17 PM
Plays No.1 seed Wozniacki in the first round of Ponte Vedra Beach. Woz will probably pull through in an uninspiring fashion but wouldn't it be great if Patty could produce an upset? :)

Apr 4th, 2010, 09:55 AM
Patty is by far the better clay court player, but yeah, she will probably lose. I just hope she doesn't tank like last year :o

Apr 4th, 2010, 12:15 PM
worst possible draw :sad::bigcry:

Apr 4th, 2010, 09:09 PM
IMO this draw is a chance. If she beat Woz in the first round everything seems possible...

Go Patty!

Apr 4th, 2010, 10:26 PM
If... she'll lose, I fear!!!

Apr 5th, 2010, 09:52 PM
Is patty playing Barcelona? Because she is in the city advertisements of the tournament

Apr 6th, 2010, 05:19 AM
Yes, she is... she let's Charleston down for the 1st time ever..!

Apr 6th, 2010, 09:21 AM
Patty's playing Barcelona?!?!?!  I will be there! :woohoo:

Apr 6th, 2010, 09:28 AM
I will be there too :bounce: the whole week

Apr 6th, 2010, 09:42 AM
Yep she is.

Apr 6th, 2010, 09:43 AM
Lucky people :p

Apr 6th, 2010, 10:35 AM
Where do you all see this? I don't see anything about it in the Marbella tournament forum and she is still on Charleston's homepage. Plus, I find it very hard to believe that she would skip Charleston to play an even smaller tournament in Barcelona. She has too much history there.

Apr 6th, 2010, 10:39 AM
Patty is in Charleston list :p

Apr 6th, 2010, 10:43 AM
As I expected. ;)

I don't think she will skip Charleston unless she is on her deathbed (seriously, not like Caro) or retired. It's her favorite tournament and the crowds love her there. Her doubles match last year with Dekmeijere against Czink/Zahlavova Strycova was on an outer court but drew an enormous crowd, leaving people to stand up because all seats were full. There is actually a picture of me standing up at that match next to Rainer Hoffman on flickr.

Apr 6th, 2010, 11:06 AM
Ah no, you are right I was mistaken. I confused Barcelona and Fes... Patty will play Fes instead of Stuttgart this year and of course she will play Charleston. Sry for all the confusion I caused..!

Apr 6th, 2010, 11:39 AM
It didn't sound right considering Patty loves Charleston and is playing in PVB this week. Oh well!

Jun 6th, 2010, 05:42 AM
Is Patty even playing Wimbledon this year??? If so, I hope she plays doubles as well (with a GOOD partner (like ALG)). Go Patty!

Jun 6th, 2010, 02:37 PM
^ Somebody had an interview with her posted somewhere about how she planned to play Wimbledon, and the clay court tournies that follow.

Jun 13th, 2010, 04:22 PM
Ah no, you are right I was mistaken. I confused Barcelona and Fes... Patty will play Fes instead of Stuttgart this year and of course she will play Charleston. Sry for all the confusion I caused..!

It wasn't your fault. For some inexplicable reason, Schnyder was on the posters advertising the Barcelona event! :weirdo:

Is Patty even playing Wimbledon this year??? If so, I hope she plays doubles as well (with a GOOD partner (like ALG)). Go Patty!

I've heard Schnyder/Krajicek  And let's hope Patty will draw someone like Duque Marino in the first round in singles. I think Patty should just about muddle through. :tape:

Jun 18th, 2010, 09:51 AM
Patty vs. YJ Chan :)... finally a good draw!

Jun 18th, 2010, 09:54 AM
2nd round would be petrova..!

Jun 18th, 2010, 10:16 AM
Doubles R1: Schnyder/Krajicek vs. Hsieh/Kudryavtseva

Jun 18th, 2010, 10:33 AM
Marion double bagelled Chan last year.

Come on Patty :rocker:

Jun 18th, 2010, 10:54 AM
I was always in a placid mood during grass time, this year it continues, have fun,Patty:angel:

Jun 18th, 2010, 08:48 PM
^^ exactly what i was thinking!!
finally she should be able to win a match here again!!

Jun 20th, 2010, 08:36 PM
good luck patty!

Jun 21st, 2010, 12:02 PM
She lost: 0-6, 2-6 :help:

Jun 21st, 2010, 01:05 PM
ohhhhhhhhhh Patty....
in retrospect, a consistent player who returns well probably isn't the best draw for someone like Patty on her absolute worst surface.
ahhh well Patty - you weren't going to go far anyway, so GL in the upcoming clay tournies.

Jul 2nd, 2010, 12:58 PM
Patty's in Budapest list, along with some players in good form this year,
seems a little tougher than last year and final points need to be defended...:o
good luck,I dont want to see her ranking going down anymore:(

Jul 2nd, 2010, 06:22 PM
I was hoping to go to Budapest but alas, I cannot make it. Looks like I might never see Patty win a match!

Jul 3rd, 2010, 02:09 PM
First round against a qualifier... second round (if she wins R1) against top seed Kleybanova...
Go Patty!!!

Jul 3rd, 2010, 03:55 PM
I think Patty defeated Kleybs last year in Budapest?

Jul 3rd, 2010, 03:59 PM
^^ she did, and i believe it was in a rain-delayed semifinal (57 75 62???)
a qualifier is always, nice, and so i hopes Patty brings her motivation to this tourney, which i really haven't seen since her Madrid match against Agnieszka.
GL Patty!

Jul 5th, 2010, 09:40 AM
Patty plays doubles with Agi Szavay :)

Jul 6th, 2010, 01:27 PM
They lost their doubles match very unfortunate.
However, Patty won her first singles match against qualifier Lesya Tsurenko 6-3, 6-3. A great result, as Tsurenko is one out of few players outside the top 200 who really play on top 100 level..!
GL in R2, Patty :hearts:

Jul 6th, 2010, 01:30 PM
Any win right now is a good win.

Jul 6th, 2010, 01:30 PM
GL Patty with Alisa Kleybanova :yeah:

Jul 6th, 2010, 09:56 PM
hoping for a good match tomorrow with Kleybanova.
if Patty plays well, she should totally win this. she is the MUCH better player on clay.

Jul 7th, 2010, 03:00 PM
What's up with Patty? She's suddenly making cross-court dropshots... hahaha

They're effective though =)

Jul 7th, 2010, 03:18 PM
yeah. She's playing well :)

Jul 7th, 2010, 03:34 PM
1st set Patty! :bounce:

Jul 7th, 2010, 03:49 PM
Wow... Patty's playing really well...

Jul 7th, 2010, 04:17 PM
Amazing performance! Just superb from Patty! :worship:

Jul 7th, 2010, 04:18 PM
Next up is Hercog.

Jul 7th, 2010, 04:21 PM
Mwahahaha... what's with Patty's draw? 1st round she plays a 21-year old, 2nd round she plays a 20-year old, and for the quarters she plays a 19-year old... =p

Jul 7th, 2010, 05:14 PM
That's the Patty I've been missing :inlove:
Defeat Hercog now, plz
Hopp Schwiiz!!!

Jul 7th, 2010, 10:06 PM
phenomenal Patty!!
excellent job with saving all the break points, and playing your game effectively.
GL against Hercog - keep up your best form!!

Jul 8th, 2010, 07:02 AM
Patty :hearts: Good win, shame she is defending a final from last year...this could have been a good oppurtunity to rack up some points instead of lose them . I guess the next alternative is to win the tournament!

Jul 9th, 2010, 01:12 PM
Patty was broken by Hercog... drop shot not working so well right now... C'mon Patty! Bring it on!!!

Jul 9th, 2010, 01:33 PM
Nice Patty! Saved 3 break points 0-40 down from 5-all. Patty takes the next game as well and takes the set! :bounce:

Jul 9th, 2010, 01:57 PM
Patty 1-5 down... I can't believe how many let cords Hercog is making... it's irritating

Patty's not mixing it up well...

Jul 9th, 2010, 01:59 PM
1 set all... what is Patty doing??? Or rather... what is she not doing??? Patience Patty! Patience!!!

Jul 9th, 2010, 02:09 PM
Polona has a very clear game plan now... she's targeting Patty's backhand which at the moment, has abandoned Patty...

Jul 9th, 2010, 02:42 PM
4 games all final set... it's crunchtime!

Jul 9th, 2010, 02:47 PM
Patty Breaks! 5-4! Serving for the match... :bounce:

Jul 9th, 2010, 02:50 PM
Patty won :):):) 7-5, 1-6, 6-4... but she won less points than Polona
GL in the semi final!

Jul 9th, 2010, 02:51 PM
Great job Patty! What a way to end the match! Go Go Go Patty! :worship:

I just remembered... this is the first time in the season that Patty has won 3 matches in a row... can you believe that???

Jul 9th, 2010, 02:51 PM
Great fight in the third set Patty, well done! :hearts:

Jul 9th, 2010, 02:52 PM
Good job on winning the match, but that was a pretty shitty performance. She was just waiting for the win to come and fortunately Polona gave it to her :p

Anyway, semis is a good result. Keep it up:)

Jul 9th, 2010, 02:54 PM

Jul 9th, 2010, 09:31 PM
:woohoo: :woohoo:
a not so lovely performance, but a win is scored anyway!!
GL in the semis, Patty!!

Jul 9th, 2010, 10:29 PM
Her first semi of the year :yeah:

She should beat Zuzana.

Patty Choker
Jul 10th, 2010, 02:46 PM
yes..this should be a spanking.Shouldn't take much longer than an hour:bounce:

Jul 10th, 2010, 02:46 PM
That Szavay-Dulgheru match took too long! I'm glad Agi won!

Let's hope it's another Schnyder-Szavay final! :D

Jul 10th, 2010, 03:21 PM
Easy peasy... Patty's loving this match... she's putting spin on the ball like there's no tomorrow! =p

Jul 10th, 2010, 03:26 PM
WOW!!! Patty makes a jumping backhand winner!

Jul 10th, 2010, 04:31 PM
Patty losing the 2nd set... tsk tsk tsk...

Jul 10th, 2010, 04:45 PM
No no no... what's happening????????????????

Jul 10th, 2010, 05:14 PM
Revanche time :)
6-2, 4-6, 6-3 :inlove:
Final vs. Szavay again :)
GL Patty!!!

Jul 10th, 2010, 05:15 PM
Hiyeah! That was such a rollercoaster ride... Go Patty! :bounce:

Jul 10th, 2010, 06:37 PM
She definitely made us sweat it out, but a good fight (i guess)

Come on Patty, crush agnes in the final :armed:

Jul 10th, 2010, 08:33 PM
woooooohoooooo :woohoo:
she's in the final againnn!!
YOU take home the trophy this time, Patty! give her all you've got!!

Jul 10th, 2010, 09:28 PM
I'm hoping she can take her revenge ... but I doubt she will.

Jul 10th, 2010, 11:30 PM
WOW,the final is a parallel with last year, please make it different to take down the title,Patty:)

And something strikes me as odd that Patty decided to skip all warm-up tours for US Open:help:hope somebody could prove me wrong:(

Jul 11th, 2010, 04:11 AM
All these "fans" that turn up only since Patty comes back to success

Jul 11th, 2010, 05:38 AM
Patty doesn't have many dedicated fans left  (who can blame them though..not much to chear for the last 2 years)

Anyway, win the final please :) Would be good to get revenge.

Jul 11th, 2010, 12:08 PM
Very slow start from Patty... what is she doing???

Jul 11th, 2010, 01:20 PM
Szavay serving for the match... I'm really, really disappointed...

Jul 11th, 2010, 01:22 PM
Keep digging in Patty. :awww:

Jul 11th, 2010, 01:24 PM
Agnes. :ras:

Jul 11th, 2010, 01:24 PM
This is over...

Jul 11th, 2010, 01:37 PM
ooooooooooooooooh Patty.......
i really really wanted (and thought you would) to win this!!
you didn't play at a high enough level though, so i guess its just time to move on and focus on Prague!

Jul 13th, 2010, 08:59 PM
Patty defeated Zarina Diyas 67 (2) 64 61 in the first round of Prague

Scary close, but hopefully it will help her to feel more comfortable for the coming rounds

Jul 14th, 2010, 12:00 AM
led 5-3 in the first before letting go of a tiebreaker handily.
good fight to remain in contention, though, and it allowed you to win in the end.
GL against Alize - i hope that (even though Alize will likely be DEAD tired) for at least a decent match.

Jul 14th, 2010, 03:35 PM
Patty and Anabel are on (bet 365) right now =) I rarely see Patty play doubles so this is a treat!

Jul 15th, 2010, 11:47 AM
Patty trounced ice cream cone today. Into the QF. :D

Jul 15th, 2010, 12:48 PM
Good match, my dear :inlove:

Jul 15th, 2010, 04:01 PM

Jul 16th, 2010, 11:18 AM
Patty takes a seat in SF at Prague with edging Tatishvili 2-6,6-2,7-5.Congrats:bounce:

Jul 16th, 2010, 11:46 AM
Another good fight, Patty! :hearts:

Jul 17th, 2010, 01:03 AM
OMG... This could be another Schnyder-Szavay final...

Jul 17th, 2010, 10:40 AM
Patty dropped the 1st set against Zahlavova-Strycova... C'mon Patty!!!

No no no... Patty drops her serve yet again!!!

Patty 0-2 down...

0-30 down...

0-40 down...

0-3 down...

Sheesh.... I can play better than Patty at the moment...

0-4 down...

0-15 down...

15-30 down...

15-40 down...

0-5 down...

Bageled and Defeated in an hour...

Jul 18th, 2010, 06:29 PM
I still can't believe that SF loss from Zahlavova-Strycova

Does anyone know which tournament Patty will be playing next?

I really hope that she would play 1 or 2 more years (or until her ranking gets her directly into the main draw) but I have a feeling this season is the last one for Patty...

I hope she proves me wrong...

Jul 21st, 2010, 06:49 AM
She will play doubles with Agi Szavay in Montreal, New Haven and US Open. ;)

Jul 21st, 2010, 08:11 AM
Source? And does this mean that Patty isn't playing until August 16?

Jul 23rd, 2010, 05:12 AM
so does anybody know when patty's next tournament is??
San Diego, Cincinnati??
i hope she plans on playing SOMETHING before Montreal.

Jul 23rd, 2010, 07:08 AM
she's playing Istanbul!

Jul 23rd, 2010, 11:58 AM
So I've heard (or read, rather)! Is there any chance she will be seeded? :) I don't think I would fancy a first round match against Zvonareva! :p

The Istanbul cup website isn't updated yet... I can't wait until they release the main draw...

Jul 24th, 2010, 10:16 AM
Oops, Vera is playing in Stanford, my bad. Anyway, Patty ain't seeded. The last seed is Klara Zakopalova who is ranked 46 at the moment. Patty is ranked 51. No main draw yet, still...

Jul 24th, 2010, 04:19 PM
Thanks for letting us all know :yeah:

Jul 25th, 2010, 01:39 PM
Woohoo! Patty's seeded! =)

Apparently, 7th seeded Zahlavova-Strycova will not be playing. Thus, Patty becomes the 8th seed... Her first round match is against Johanna Larsson who is on fire at the moment...

Good luck Patty!

Jul 25th, 2010, 02:55 PM
Patty is playing doubles as well and is seeded 3rd, partnering Sandra Klemenschits. Not a bad choice for a partner considering Klemenschits has won 2 doubles titles in a row in as many weeks (even though its in the ITF circuit) :)

They'll be facing Johanna Larsson and Tatjana Malek in the first round. In singles, Patty is playing Johanna Larsson in the first round... What a coincidence! Similar to Budapest when Patty played Lesya Tsurenko in the first round of both singles and doubles :p

Jul 25th, 2010, 02:58 PM
Hopefully Larsson will be nice and tired after Portoroz. :D

Jul 26th, 2010, 03:43 AM
go patty!!
i hope she can get a win here this year - that De Los Rios match from last year was NOT pretty.
Larsson is in good form, but as nevetssllim said, she may be tired and i hope Patty can exploit that. plus she just got the court wiped with her by Chak, so maybe she's a little down in the dumps too...

Jul 26th, 2010, 10:16 AM
I completely forgot she lost to De Los Rios last year. :scared: I think I blocked that loss out of my mind!

Jul 27th, 2010, 01:59 AM
Patty plays tomorrow evening Istanbul time (6:00, i think)
GL Patty - play your amazinggg game!!

Jul 27th, 2010, 04:46 PM
Wow... Larsson hits the ball hard! And how many times have we seen Patty drop her 1st service game? :p

Jul 27th, 2010, 05:19 PM
1st set dropped... Patty made a lot of clumsy errors... she should have won that set...

1st game 2nd set
2 double faults
2 break points down...
0-2 down...
another double fault...
1-2 down...
2 break points for Patty...
1st one down the drain...
2nd one down the drain... deuce...
Larsson double faults... another break point for Patty...
Down the drain once more...
1-3 down...
And another double fault by Patty
2-3 down...
2-4 down...
Double fault Patty...
15-40 down...
2-5 down...
And we all know what happened next...
Well, this just shows that Patty can hit the ball as hard as anyone else but it's just not her game... screw my FITD! Patty winning matches is more important!

Jul 27th, 2010, 09:54 PM
how disappointing.
Johanna played well, but Patty wasn't all that great from what i saw.
i hope she can get it together for the USO HC events.

Jul 28th, 2010, 01:35 PM
Since we're all feeling down, here is something to cheer for! Patty and Sandra won their 1st round doubles match against Larsson and Malek... Up next for them is Daniilidou and Wöhr...

By the way, Patty was runner-up in doubles last year, partnering Julia Görges. Let's hope she makes it far in doubles! :bounce:

Jul 28th, 2010, 10:46 PM
nice work with Sandra, Patty.
take the title!!

Jul 29th, 2010, 01:00 PM
Haha... Sandra and Patty were totally wiped today... 1-6, 1-6

Jul 29th, 2010, 02:21 PM
 Patty

Jul 30th, 2010, 01:34 PM
Okay, so I've checked the player commitments for next week's tourneys (San Diego and Copenhagen) and I didn't see Patty's name on the list so I'm pretty sure she's not playing. The next tourney after those two is Cincinnati, which Patty played last year (and several other years back as well). However, Cincinnati is now a WTA Premier 5 Tournament, meaning most top players will compete in the tournament (otherwise stated as Patty's ranking is THAT low, she wouldn't gain direct acceptance into the main draw). I think we'll only see Patty if she is granted a wildcard. It's possible but I don't think it's highly likely. And I'm pretty sure Patty won't play qualifying just to play this tourney! :p

Wow... I can't believe we're already past the halfway mark for this season. And I really get the feeling this is the last for Patty (unless she miraculously wins US Open... hahaha :p). Or at least I hope she'll still play doubles and just concentrate on that (but still unlikely). What do you think? ;)

Jul 31st, 2010, 01:39 AM
I have nerve to say that Patty doesn't deserve a WC:smash:,the only way to be entitled for Cincinnati and Montreal by having to get out of qualifying rounds is obvious.:(
Retirement or not next year no longer bothers me,and I think US Open is very decent as a valedictory tour:p
but I'm more than somewhat hoping she could play one more year.

Jul 31st, 2010, 12:40 PM
Well, I checked the entry list again and it seems that Patty's rank would be enough to qualify her through the main draw. But still, I don't see her name there so I guess she's gonna skip Cincinnati and just take a rest :)

Jul 31st, 2010, 03:24 PM
She only has decent results on clay (these days) unfortunately anyway

I guess she could continue on as a doubles specalist, but I can't see her singles career lasting much longer.

Jul 31st, 2010, 09:02 PM
ohhh patty.
i hope she attempts some USO series events, whether qualification or not.
i assume she'll be in New Haven though, yes?
she always is, it seems, and as it is just before the US Open, its field is generally not tooo strong.

Jul 31st, 2010, 09:22 PM
Well, the player field for Montreal is up and it doesn't seem Patty will be there. Last direct acceptance is Sybille Bammer with a current ranking of 45. However, I'm pretty sure someone has posted in this thread that Patty will be playing doubles with Szavay in Montreal. We will see, but I really can't wait until August 16... hahaha

And it's just really weird that she'll be coming to a tourney just to play doubles (although a lot of players do that but it's different with Patty). I don't think it has ever happened yet.

Aug 9th, 2010, 08:21 PM
Patty hasn't played for a long time... I'm starting to miss her so I just visited a few other videos of her matches a while back... she's just amazing! I play tennis too and there are three things I want to do just like Patty: 1) Have an ultra-spinny forehand, 2) Run like there's no tomorrow, 3) and of course that drop shot with tons of sidespin! ;)

And what's up with the New Haven entry list? It seems that Patty won't make it into main draw after all... :help:

Aug 9th, 2010, 11:59 PM

You're right; Patty has a very fun game to watch (when she's on ;)). We should all be happy that she's playing New Haven, main draw or qualifying. She needs to get some matches before the US Open.

Aug 13th, 2010, 12:22 AM
Pstty will have to qualify to make it to the main draw of Montréal.
She's playing Ditty in the 1R. Good luck!

Aug 13th, 2010, 08:00 AM
Yeah... saw the draw =)

I can't believe Patty has to play qualies... anyway, I give her the same support that I always do =)

Aug 13th, 2010, 09:26 AM
Patty playing qualies
QR1: Ditty
QR2: Llagostera Vives / Pelletier (WC)
QR3: Shulaeva (WC) / Pivovarova / Benesova (14) / Abanda (WC)
Good draw though: 3 WCs in her part :)...
GL Patty :inlove:

Aug 13th, 2010, 09:30 PM
6-2, 6-1 :) - next up Llagostera Vives :inlove:

Aug 13th, 2010, 11:01 PM
Yay! Convincing win from Patty! :yeah:

Aug 14th, 2010, 10:39 AM
The next match should be just as easy.

Aug 14th, 2010, 02:32 PM
I would not be too sure about that... NLV is in great shape... but Patty is definitely favorite of the match and of the hearts :inlove:

Aug 14th, 2010, 06:38 PM
6-1, 7-6(4) :)

Aug 14th, 2010, 06:39 PM
Next up is Benesova :awww:

Aug 14th, 2010, 06:54 PM
Good job Patty!

Aug 14th, 2010, 07:48 PM
Well, the head to head between Patty and Iveta is 5-0. All those times, Patty was ranked at least 16 or higher and Iveta 43 or lower. All were in very comfortable 2 sets except for one match. Iveta has 1 YTD title. Of course, we know Patty hasn't won anything since my 18th birthday (and it might as well be one of the best birthday presents I ever had :D). But I think Patty should be able to handle this quite easily.

Aug 15th, 2010, 02:18 PM
This is it... God bless Patty!

Aug 15th, 2010, 02:56 PM
OMG... I thought Patty had the 1st set... she lost in the tiebreak... This is not good...

Aug 15th, 2010, 02:58 PM
Beware a 2nd set tank - but hopefully not!

Aug 15th, 2010, 03:00 PM
She was 4-1 up... then 5-2 up in the tiebreak... just unbelievable...

Aug 15th, 2010, 03:03 PM
It's happening... Patty got broken in her first service game in the 2nd set...

Aug 15th, 2010, 03:17 PM
How disappointing =(

Aug 15th, 2010, 03:22 PM
Terrible. And she had never lost to her before either.

Aug 15th, 2010, 03:41 PM
Let's hope someone withdraws from the MD so Patty can become LL. Hahaha

Aug 15th, 2010, 03:46 PM
OMG!!! Patty did get Lucky Loser spot! Hurray!!! :D :bounce:

Aug 15th, 2010, 03:47 PM
Well, I guess Patty knew she's the highest-ranked qualifier that can lose in the final qualifying round so maybe she didn't bother to play at all... I think there really is one slot reserved for the LL so no one really had to withdraw from the main draw... Thank God!!!

Aug 15th, 2010, 04:30 PM

Aug 15th, 2010, 04:30 PM
Venus withdrew... that's why there's that LL spot..!

Aug 15th, 2010, 05:02 PM
Oh yeah... sorry... my bad

Anyway, the doubles main draw is out and Patty isn't playing doubles... I though she was going to play with Szavay but maybe their ranking isn't high enough to make it into MD.

Aug 15th, 2010, 11:15 PM
First round against Razzano (WC)

Remember the match between them in Paris (indoors). It was a enjoyable match and Patty played very nice althought it was the first match of her comeback.

Possible second round against Wozniacki

They've met twice this year on clay and Wozniacki was the better player.
But everything is possible if Patty is on fire.

Aug 16th, 2010, 08:03 AM
Virginie :awww: - won't be easy!

Aug 16th, 2010, 01:29 PM
Last night, I dreamt that Patty would be placed in the spot close to Wozniacki. Unfortunately, my dream came true... :help:
Is it weird to dream of draws? Hahaha

Aug 16th, 2010, 09:13 PM
6-7(4), 7-5, 6-3 :woohoo:
Now destroy the Danish Sunshine..! :)

Aug 16th, 2010, 09:14 PM
Great fighting :yeah:

Now vs Wozniacki :help:
