I've said this before, Hercog has enormous talent. Yes, her non-clay results thus far in her professional career have been nothing short of abysmal. But there is no doubt in my mind that it is not a question of if but when she is able to turn those results around and learn to play on other surfaces to the same standard she does on clay. The girl simply needs to play more matches on faster surfaces to gain experience.

This match does suggest Hercog is slowly starting to come to terms with faster surfaces although it is only one match and undoubtably she still has a long way to go.

Camerin :tape: Don't see her ever getting back to the top 50 again.

I think it was Lisicki who said on her Twitter that the Luxembourg courts are quite slow. Strange, because I always thought they looked pretty fast when it was a tier 2 (I don't know if they've changed them since then though).

Are you sure this result is true? :p
Finally a good win on hardcourts too. :yeah:
Good luck against Lisicki! :D

I don't remember them being too slow. And anyhow, it's not like Polona is a pusher, she just needs to work on her movement on hard and her confidence.

First step towards hardcourt domination!!! Polo!

Beating Camerin in a very tight three sets is enormous talent?
I am yet to be impressed by Polona, but maybe time will tell.

This is a terrible loss for MEC at the end of the day, but I'm glad to see Polona add some points to her ranking during this part of the season...I wasn't expecting anything at all.
