Pathetic Benesova. She played just like she looked, a zombie. She could at least pretend she wanted to be there.

The player that can't stop smiling def. the player that just can't smile never....

Sabine hit 3 great drop shots today. Two of the drop shots ended games. In game 10 of the final game in set 2, Sabine hit a drop shot to give herself a 30-0 lead, then followed up with an Ace on the next point. Sabine was leading 5-3 in game 9 and had 4 match points, but Benesova was resilent holding in game 9. Sabine was not going to fall apart like she did against Rodionova. Sabine held at Love in game 10 to win in straight sets.

In game one of set one Sabine sent a message to Benesova that her serve was going to be overpowering. Lisicki served 3 Aces in the ist set to win the ist game easily. Sabine would match her own power in game 3 of the ist set by forcing 2 unreturned serves and an Ace to take a 3-0 lead. Lisicki then showed versatility in game 4 by hitting a forehand crosscourt winner to end game 4, giving Sabine a 4-0 lead.

Sabine lead 5-1 going into game 7, with Sabine wasting no time in taking a 40-0 lead in game 7. Benesova tied game 7 at 40-40, but Sabine came back to win the game and the set 6-1.

Lisicki was never broen the entire match. Benesova went 4 straight games in set 2 without being broken, however she was broken in the ist game of the 3rd set, then Sabine consolidated in game 2 set 2 with with 2 Aces holding at Love.

Today's ist set lasted only 20 minutes.

When Sabine is healthy and getting in her ist serve, she can beat anybody. She easily has the talent to be a top 5 player. Her conditioning will be the key to her success. She has already beaten Kuznetsova, Wozniacki,(2) and Venus at Family Circle. Sabine is very entertaining to watch.

Good performance :D
Really nice to see that she is often able to play some good tennis, although she barely played over the last weeks..:)
Serve was impressive today and Benesova hadnt a great day, could have been even easier in 2nd set but never in danger!

But will be really tough for Sabine to stay under the top 32 in ranking, LUX will be her last tournament where she can make points before the AO....and it doesnt look that good!

Sabs :woohoo: Great to see her back and winning matches. Its a pity she will have to play Kim, but it could be a good match.

Really impressed with Sabine today.. power combined with touch and finesse, and an overall positive attitude on court. Wish she goes deep into the tournament.

Sabs :woohoo: Great to see her back and winning matches. Its a pity she will have to play Kim, but it could be a good match.

That's exactly what I want. Let Sabine feel some pressure against the US Open champ and let's see how she reacts. Sabine is a player that fans in future should fall in love with. Just stay healthy Sabine and she will be fine. Go Sharapova, Caroline and Sabine. :) :wavey:

well done Sabine! :)

Nice job, Sabine :yeah:

Oct 19th, 2009, 04:56 PM
I'm very happy but I didn't expect Benesova to be really dangerous.

Oct 19th, 2009, 04:57 PM
Sabine was playing really well, she ahd better dropshots than Iveta.
IF she serves that well, Iveta can't beat her.

Still, even when the Czech took control of the rally, an error was coming up. Great fight at 5-3 but it wasn't enough.

Iveta

Oct 19th, 2009, 06:02 PM
The only way Caroline and Sabine can meet is in the finals, but Sabine must get past Clijsters. That is a tough order. Sabine should win her next match.

I think She'll beat Kim

Oct 19th, 2009, 06:48 PM
With Sabine being injured lately she did not have a chance to win a big tennis match. Lets hope that her past Sept 22nd birthday can be celebrated this Sunday with a title match. Sabine has thunder in her game at the age of 20.

Hopefully Bienchen is able to pursue her current level of play into a possible QF with Kim. Maybe she's got a good chance then (if she just stays healthy...)

Iveta

OMG Iveta is the most boring player ever :tape: she looks always like "WTF i'm doing on a tennis court?" look :weirdo:

Oct 19th, 2009, 09:32 PM
With todays' performance, Sabine can go really far here!

Oct 19th, 2009, 10:15 PM
