Thanks to ChrisDi ;)

Jelena   Must have been tired, she spent some time on court this week. Rest up now and make some damages in Poitiers :)

Even though she lost, she still made the finals and had a great week nonetheless. Now go rest up so you can win Poitiers! :)

It's ok, not a letdown really. After all, the extra points would have given her just 3 extra places post-AO.

And yes, being tired is a major reason. A player like Jelena that is coming back after an extended period of no matches due to injuries, is bound to be tired after 10 matches spanning 3 weeks. Yes, a normal WTA player wouldn't have so many troubles with this schedule but she is coming back from injury, as I said.

Must you come in here?

Good week Jelena! Playing week in and week out is what you need to be doing. Too many breaks in the play is when we see the inconsistentcy in her game. Can't wait to see her back on the tour in Australia!

I guess it was ONE of the reasons. Sofia may have played well, Jelena could have hit tons of UEs. I don't know.
Why're you rolling? In most of your posts you sound bitter, annoyed etc. You either like to be miserable or grumpy. Period time? Too much "House MD" or something?

Well done, Sofia.

As did I.:o

It's no secret that Dokic simply plays better when her opposition is of a higher caliber. It's nice to see Arvidsson back, though!

She has had a solid string of events (won athens, finals here) now she should enjoy her rest and get ready to put up some more solid results for the remainder of her ITF tournaments before 2009 comes to an end. Hopefully she will be ranked close to the top 50 by year-end!

Jelly  Still a great couple weeks with winning the 100K in Greece and then reaching the finals this week in France :bounce:. Hopefully she'll start off 2010 strong and gain some points at the Aussie Warm ups before trying to defend her QF points in Melbourne :bounce:

Good win for Sofia, she has always been an underachiever.

Great kast two tournaments by Jelena, she had to fight hard to make the final here and I'm sure she will get a lot of confidence from this tournament having to come from behind to win :) ...it's been a lot of tennis for her, she gets a week off to rest before 100k Poiters where she will be one of the favourites!

Knew she would lose this one as Sofia is an excellent player for Indoor tournaments. Nonetheless, she made the final which is a great result! :D

Sure, you could say the better player on the day won, but if you mean that Arvidsson is a better player than Dokic you are just deluding yourself with your hate for the latter. Dokic's achievements outshine Arvidsson's by miles, even her greatest haters should be able to see that. :wavey:

Congrats Sofia. :bigclap: I've only ever seen her play a couple times, but she had an interesting style I thought. Hope this means she'll be moving on up again.

Jela, disappointing, but I guess the win streak had to end sometime. :) A final is not a bad result considering how the second half of this year had gone up until Athens, she shouldn't be discouraged by this at all.

I don't understand Arvidsson. She goes away for five to six tournaments at a time where she can hardly win a match, storms through the odd ITF and wins a ton of matches in a short amount of time, then goes back to sucking and losing early.

I know! It's so weird, she's been up and down for years. Inside the TOP 100, then back out, in again, and out.. so weird.

Congrats Sofia, a really good player when playing well.

Jelena  A big few weeks for her, hopefully she'll rest up and flush the Poitiers field down the potty. :sobbing:
