first she plays 6 weeks in a row in LA, Cincinatti, Toronto, New Haven, USO ... at least those were all in North America

now she plays Tokyo, Beijing, Osaka, Luxembourg, Doha

Radwanska and Pennetta also play Tokyo, Beijing, Linz, Moscow but at least they are trying to qualify Doha

Pushniacki already secure her Doha ticket but she still keep play every week ... think for sure she will 0-3 in Doha :help:

Wozniacki is a tourney whore, far worse than JJ was IMO.

That's not the point of this thread

You can like to play tennis and still have a reasonable schedule. But Wozniacki probably doesn't know that yet.

She had promised to play in Osaka and try defend her Title, her dad say it was just for "practise" she played her last matches... :o

I don't know about Luxembourg, but she played the Finals there last year, one of her best matches of the year.

i bet shes in talks with the WTA to play bali seen as shes a MM queen lol

Ludicrous. If her fans wonder why she'll be spent next season, they should look at this thread.

IMO Luxembourg is one tournament too many. It's a long-ass flight to Luxembourg and then another long-ass flight to Doha. Not smart.

She had to fly home from Asia one day, but play next week is as kman say not smart...

She was def in the first round of both beijing and tokyo, so I dont think she will be too tired for Doha
Love you Caro, but this schedule is insane :o

Don't worry, she'll only be allowed to play 2 MMs next year cos she's top 10 :)

She's young, and usually when your young you'll be more free with the schedule and play a lot more often. I suspect in probably 2 years time though, she'll lessen it up.

Just like JJ did this year compared to like 2 years ago.

Most of the girls travel loads and play a crazy schedule..but Caro's schedule is madness :help: She has a shit load of points to defend next year...and I really can't see how she's gonna be able to do that :o (pressure, stress, injuries etc...) Whoever is advising her on her schedule....has got it wrong, she's playing far too much IMO.

Caroline is making a big mistake. She should go home and take a vacation and start improving on her weaknesses for Australia.

yea, like she did with various off-court activities. In the beginning she said yes to everything and did all kinds of unpaid work for WTA. Also runway shows, meetings, extra interviews and so on, but it looks like she's cut back on it now.

I suspect it's just the vigor of youth. Everything is new and exciting. But travelling as much as she does right now will get old quickly so I don't expect it to last...

In her defense, I remember people said the same thing last year and not only did she defend the points this year, she earned more as well. She just really likes to play tennis. I'm sure if the schedule starts to dramatically affect her performance, her dad/coach will make necessary adjustments.

But as I said, I do think playing Luxembourg is unnecessary, but then again, Caroline said she felt she needed more match practice for Doha after her illness in Tokyo/Beijing so that might be the reason they're doing it. Hopefully she won't be too jetlagged from the long travels...

I thought Caro would surely withdraw from Luxembourg because it makes little sense considering she has already qualified for Doha but even so, I think Jelena's post-USO 2007 schedule was slightly more loopy - at least Caro's schedule didn't jump from continent from continent unlike Jelena who played USO, Bali, Beijing, Stuttgart, Bangkok, Zurich and the YEC.

Now this is ridiculous. Is she getting any points from that MM tourneys? Or only $$? Gosh, this girl is #3 in race and has nothing to defend in Doha, what on earth is she doing? Glad I'm not a fan.

im waiting for the press release to say she's playing bali and doha and using a private jet to get back and forth so she can play both in the same week.

Of course that's the point of the thread... duh!!!!!!

Wozniacki does overdo it, but she is improving, and I guess she must like it. Her schedule is ridiculous though... I almost wonder if she could let some other players work deep into small tourney draws, rather than trying to take the title herself.

She can play well week in week out for maybe one or two years. But I'm sure she would like to have a longer career than that in which case it's not so smart to overplay and risk injuries and/or burnout. I like her and wish her well, but for her own good I hope she won't play that many events next year.

Oh for heaven's sake, why are people getting their undies in a bunch over another human being's tennis schedule. Listen, if she thinks she can handle it, then shut up and just enjoy the tennis. So unless the whiners are ready to start an online petition and acquire signatures to tell Caro that she needs to smarten her schedule, this is nothing but a pointless rant about something you realistically can't change.

I would die if she would play there :lol::lol:

"Caroline Wozniacki has been awarded with a WC to the MM-Championships in Bali. The Tournament Director and WTA-Officials decided to make an exception of the rules, since Wozniacki is the unbeaten MM-Queen of the year" :worship::worship::D

She shouldn't have played Osaka and Luxembourg, escecially because she was sick before. Osaka was one too much and I really don't get why she's playing Luxembourg.

My take on Caroline's scheduling for 08 & 09 :-

Our lord works in mysterious ways,
and Team Wozniacki comes in a close second.
