 Amazing.
Seems like whenever I show my mom a tiebreaker there's 6 match points saved (like in signature)

Quite remarkable. That certainly would have sent the Chinese crowd home in a good mood.

Nice job Zi and Jie. :yeah:

Sammy, you really need a rest.

And Zi herself wasted 8 MPs 2 weeks ago being up 9-4, 10-9, 11-10, 12-11 in the STB, before losing 13-15. Interesting.

Very good win from Zi/Jie. :yeah:

Wow! Good to see some good result for Zi because I am seriously worried about her future if she keeps up so many poor performances. Her doubles play with Chuang was embarrassing for both of them in Cincinnati, and I've seen some other early/bad losses in the results, including in Singles. Come on Zi, get your act together! Maybe this is part of the turnaround.

I agree!
They've had some good results this year, but she's had a lot of rough times. The confidence just isn't there anymore. But she's slowly gaining it back. The FO QF with a win over Stubbs and Stosur was one of the confidence-boosters, the Warsaw Final, the US Open win over Hantuyama are also boosters, and let's not forget the amazing LA run with Chuang :worship: - but then some confidence put downs like Wimbledon loss to WS :tape:

I think she's slowly gaining the confidence back though. She was dumped by Knowles in doubles, but he once called her "the best doubles player on the woman's tour" I trust that soon they'll start getting it together. Jie is still really solid, all Zi can do is improve, and I know she will. She steps up to the plate when she needs to (Beijing, USO, Wimbledon, FO)... Just need consistency. Bring back the 2006 form. :hearts:
