Shit now, Vee don't play. "Wait, are you getting aggressive with me, I was about to say something and you interrupted me, thank you"... She said very little after that so I can only imagine that she was trying to maintain her cool.

OMG...VENUS FROM 1:45-2:00 :worship: I am very big on family loyalty. That is Venus bein the great big sis that she is. And glad the journalist brought up the double standard in terms how other sports this kind of thing is "entertaining" . Not making an excuse for Serena because she shouldn't have done what she did, but a double standard definitely exists.

By handling this incident the way she has, Vee is also teaching Serena how to handle the media without showing your emotions. Serena gave a tiny smirk when Vee cut his ass up so very nicely.

Um no, Venus was being Venus. We've seen Venus stick up for herself in press conferences in the past and this was no different. That journalist totally disrespected her by cutting her off and almost chastising her like a child.

he kept asking the same questions Serena obviously started to get uncomfortable and delayed her response to his and Venus being the big sis that she is steped in to say something and this journalist had the nerve to cut her off basically saying..."who are you, I wasnt talking to you" hes lucky it was Venus and not Serena he cut off:tape: Cutting someone off when they're speaking is the rude and he should have been called on it.

Right on. There is a huge difference between Venus and Serena. Venus realised that treating people like crap was going to get her no where in the long run and grew up. Serena has never grown up and most likely never will. The only thing that tells me they are sisters is they look to much alike.

The same judgment she gave us when she told us that even if a building was on fire and you see a mother crying outside, crying because she just lost her children inside, to still go up and ask her for a quote. Lol good judgment.

look i'm no journalist but i do know that there's this little thing called people skills that can and will get you very far. As an interviewer you can't talk to your subjects the way that guy addressed Vee and Serena and then realistically expect them to be cooperative. Venus and Serena, particularly, weren't chained down and forced to be interrogated. They could easily have left the room and paid whatever fine or ignored/sidestepped that dude's questions leaving him with nothing to take back to wherever he writes for. Either way it's important for all people to behave decently to one another, otherwise you end up with egg on ya face like this guy (or Serena sadly after she lost that match).

Alot of people aren't used to real, genuine love in families these days. Journalists have been trying to wedge a gap between these sisters since way back in the day. That didn't work so now they hope to tear Serena down now that she has given them the amunition. But these are STRONG BLACK WOMEN.

I loved all of Venus' responses. She also wouldn't commit to participating in any tournament Serena may be suspended from.

It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out politically.
