Up until this point Kim Clijsters has played a lot of players that have given her a lot of unforced errors and now she will be facing a player who not only will not give her a lot of unforced errors but who is also very consistent & can be a back board.

1. Kim can hang with the power players pretty well, it is the counter punchers that she has more trouble with. I don't consider Wozniacki a counter puncher but I don't consider her a power player either. I think that she falls some where in the middle.

2. Kim is going to be pressed & feel rushed to go for more because of Wozniacki's amazing court coverage. This is where the errors will start to seep into Kim's game just like Kuznetsova. She is going to try to hit the ball that much futher away from Wozniacki or quicker to win the point and that is when she will start hitting it out & into the net.

3. Wozniacki is going to get the ball deep into the court on a lot of returns and different points in the macth and those shots will have a lot of spin on them causing it to be out of Kim's strike zone & because of this she will not be able to dictate the match the way that she would like to. She is going to have to muscle the ball a little more which will cause a lot of errors.

4. Because of the fact that Wozniacki is not going to consistently give Kim the pace that she likes she is going to have to generate the pace herself a lot & this will lead to a lot more errors than she has produced throughout this entire tournament.

5. Wozniacki is a fearless teen who has nothing to lose and she is excellent at holding her composure and not letting the moment get to her. She proved that in the matches against Oudin & Kuznetsova. She will not be moved or shaken by the moment and in the end she will be the 2009 US Open Ladies Singles Champion.

Nope. Fraid not. Kim to win. You don't beat both Williams sisters and the GOAT Bartoli in a tournament and then lose to Wozniacki. It just isn't the done thing.

True the match has not yet been played but when you have a feeling about something after looking at the tournament for the past 2 weeks and watching both players in action I don't see anything wrong in stating what could possibly happen. Could I be wrong? Yes I could but I could also be right and these are things that I have noticed about both players.

Most people think that Clijsters is the heavy favorite just like they thought that Kuznetsova & Oudin were. I think it would be great for women's tennis for Wozniacki to win because she has played amazing. They also thought that Wickmayer would beat Wozniacki and she beat her comfortably. I think that people underestimate Wozniacki.

You haven't understood a thing of Kim's game, for obvious reasons. That is one biased piece of BS you wrote. I can't even start with falsifying your statements.

^^ Haha. But no I think you could be right. At least I'm hoping :)

The only reason why I would WANT Kim to win, just because then Venus would lose to the tournament champion the past 4 times she has played this tournament. Crazy.

The reasons why i think Kim will win if she plays as well as yesterday:

1. Her serve. She's been serving so well and can get that first strike in. Like we've seen yesterday.

2. She has controlled agression. Caroline lives off another ones unforced errors but kim is 1 of the most consistent players out there that can switch from defense to offense incredibly easily.

3. She won't be sent from side to side because caroline doesn't have the right weapons for it. She'll be the one dictating.

4. Kim will pound and pound on that forehand today. A halfcourt loopy topspin ball won't save her today in this match, Kim is way too good for that.

5. Kim has the experience and caroline is bound to be nervous in her first slamfinal.

6. Kim's backhand was absolutely on fire yesterday, it was even better then the wozniacki backhand yesterday.

Even before safina went out i've said that wozniacki would make the final. And it happened, i just knew it was going to happen after the start of the tournie somehow.

Wozniacki failed to show up at any of the 'big' finals she played this year. I guess she'll be nervous for her 1st GS final and Kim is consistent enough to overcome her low-UE count game.

Hope you are right. I put some money on her, in the begining of the quarterfinals. Didn't expect that Clijsters would make finals. This final is unreal. So I hope the unexpected player win here.

Please dont compare Oudin to Kim...shes was never a heavy fave
Kim will win because believe it or not..she can beat a player who plays a similar less impressive, less powerful game to her own and if Wozi wins then GREAT :) but it will b a hard fought victory

What is this match you are talking about? Can't you take it elsewhere. This is "Serena Messages".

uhhmm i say wozniacki wins becuase her opponents hits errors.. kim is probably on of the best players out there who actually constructs the point, not just go for winner out of nowhere everytime. wozniacki's only chance here is if kim explodes

I certainly hope not. After beating Venus and Serena, Kim IMO deserves to win.

kim does everything better than woz besides the errors, not too mention this is caro's first final, she's bound to be a little nervous. if kim hits consistently deep she will have caro on her heels almost the whole match.

She is my favorite player, but sooner or later pot luck runs out. It's end of the line tonight as the comeback kid Kim Clijsters wins the US Open.
