"Nineteen-year-old tennis star Caroline Wozniacki, who gave a pep talk to the Yale football team during the Pilot Pen tennis tournament, wants to come to Yale, her father told a Danish newspaper."

Any corroboration? Maybe she'll cash in on a lone fluke slam and retire. (A la the figure skaters who "retire" after winning their Olympic Golds.)

I thought most posters would be a lot more excited even by the prospect of it. :hysteric:

All the pushing makes sense now. She plays tennis so she can go to Yale, and not because she enjoys it.

She should quit tennis now and go to Yale. It would be good for her and for tennis.

They mentioned this in one of her earlier matches at USO. I'm not sure how she'd manage that while playing tennis, and if she wins tomorrow, I doubt she'll do it at all. But cool to see a young player want to further her education.

She applied to learn via correspondance before the USO, apparently.

I think there is an "internet" class. She can do both.

They let my brother in.:p

Actually, for an internet course it's probably not that hard, as some are credit and some are not.

For the record, a certain formerly banged player is fond of Yale, too.

Good for her :) It's nice to see tennis players in the limelight have interests outside of tennis other than fashion.

Capriati wasn't dumb either. She was just entertaining.
