View Full Version : Does Jim Courier have any shame?

I am watching the delayed coverage (coverage?; I guess I mean old replayed matches from 18 years ago) on DVR cause I had to run out earlier. Anyway, when they showed a "teaser" of the matches tonight on CBS, the announcer said "And at 8PM, Kim Clijsters will play Serena Williams..." and Courier said, "wow. That's hot." On TV. Like a woman. Or Paris Hilton at best. Shameless.

I think it is more meant like it is inappropriate to act and talk like a woman to say 'That's hot'. That shouldn't be the style of talk if you want to act like a REAL man.

Everyone knows Jim Courier is "gay" it's well known in the tennis community. I wonder why Jim just doesn't come out? Jim has the hots for James Blake, Andy Roddick, and Robby Ginepri. It was so strange hearing Courier go on and on about the these young American men's bodies. Courier is a homosexual and he needs to come out of the closet.

It is almost embarrasing when he talks about male tennis players's physical in term women would use.
And some it comes from nowhere, at an unexpcted time in the match.
You can fell the uneasy silence from co-anlyst when this ahppens

Is Courier gay? He's not out, and that's only an internet tennis rumor, basically. Sort of like in the 90's people kept saying Sabatini was gay. People WANT him to be gay, cause it would be another accomplished, in-the-spotlight homosexual.

It's wishful thinking, I guess. Cliff Drysdale could be gay too. Who would know?

Courier did win four slams, so he knows a bit about playing tennis, even if he isn't the greatest commentator.

Ok 1st of all he's a stupid jackass...2nd who the phuck hits backhands like swinging a baseball bat. So glad he retired early, same with that pinhead tim henman.

Now only if mr cry baby over rated had a losing record 0-4 to Nalbadian and 1-7 against Nadal federer would retire too I be happy. :bolt:

NOTE: before you guys send me hate mails, think about this ok. How in the hell do you consider yourself #1 of all time when you have losing records against players like Nalbadian and Nadal. And not like 2-3 but like 0-4 and 1-7 at one time. Thats fraken embarrasing man ok. I would never call myself #1 or greatest of all time if I had a losing recored agains anyone let alone 0-4 or 1-7.

And the only why those dumb phucks at espn keep spewing this bullshit that hes the greatest of all time is because they only go on stats and don't know about his losing records and plus they only know about NFL, NBA, and baseball.

Come on guys...this is well know in the circuit but they are very respected players and this gets no publicity. But this is a fact for sure.

I mean, Steffi best friends on tour were well known lesbians Rennae Stubbs (who was in Steffi's box in several GS finals) and Inés Gorrochategui. And then, when red hot Agassi dating gay diva Barbra Streissand in 1992 (she was in her box in both Wimbledon and US Open) was simply :help:

But nothing wrong with it. They wanted to raise a family and benefited from each other. It is just a bit sad (being themselves a very powerful sportman/sportwoman) that they don't come out as a role model. Still, this is their choice and it has to be respected.

If Steffi and/or Andre had gay lovers, one of them would've sold their story to a tabloid by now. The tennis circuit may respect them, but The National Enquirer doesn't.

P.S. Courier is not gay. That's just a rumor started after Monica Seles said she wanted to have a hot French boyfriend "just like Jim Courier". Her garbled sentence was funny, but everyone in the press room knew what she meant since Jim was dating a French woman at the time. In fact, he learned some French with her and gave his second French Open victory speech in French.

I'm guessing that Steffica Greles and selesfan70 Monica's most tragic gay fans were desperate to believe that she had accidentally outed her friend Courier, thus proving that she was the fag hag they had always wistfully daydreamed about. Tragic!

Honey (what are you GoDokic! now ), you can't just say things without evidence. Steffi is my lifetime idol and I get very defensive when people say such things about her. I also love Andre very much because he was the sole reason I got to see STEFFI IN THE STANDS for many years after she had retired. I can say all sorts of things that I think, but it doesn't mean that they're true. And you still haven't told me if their two beautiful children were conceived naturally, via in vitro, or if the plastic surgeon is the real father. :o

Being exposed in this tabloid would mean nothing, as the 90% of what is written there is pure shit...

Actually, TNE has broken a lot of stories that are true. I just can't imagine one of their former lovers not selling them out somewhere. How on earth could Agassi have had secret gay lovers when he was so famous? Surely, there would be more mainstream whispering about his gayness?

Sweetie, what kind of evidence do you want? Telling you that I somehow overheard the couple planning their charade for the rest of their lives in an obscure diner in Las Vegas? Of course I don't have an evidence and of course I can say this kind of things without an evidence. This is a tennis forum after all, and you can believe it or not. Listen, what I don't understand is that you get angry, and she is your idol and bla bla bla. The thing is I actually like Steffi very much, I can say I talked to her for a couple of minutes when she came to Zaragoza some years ago for an exhibition and she was so nice to me. But then, I'm not saying anything bad about her. This is just the lifestyle she chose and I'm not judging her or saying this is something bad as you believe.

And the kids, have no idea. But I guess they are Andre's, dunno if conceived naturally or not

That's a very interesting point. I have always wondered the same. I mean, you can oversee Gorrochategui & Stubbs (who? for the general public) on Steffi's side but not questioning Andre's relationship with one the biggest gay divas ever, more than 20 years older than him is a mystery to me

Actually, the fact that this wasn't even an issue only makes it more suspicious

I mean, I can totally see both Andre and Steffi being closeted gays. It is very plausible. I am just surprised that there have never been leaks from former lovers. Especially with Agassi being a gay man. Sometimes you need to get your dick sucked and you have no self-control! :haha:

And LoveFifteen (who is one of my TF idols and doesn't post nearly enough anymore) is dead on. If they had gay lovers, it would have been exposed. Like with Martina. Why the fuck do you care how old I am? I'm older than you and surely have more life experience. You are right. People do all sorts of things for all sorts of reasons. I can't see two people who are actively gay bringing two children into the world. So I give you a pass if you think they're both gay but just not acting on it because they're "so deep in the closet". That is not true, it was Sabatini the one who decided to stop playing doubles with Graf, advised by Carlos Kirmair in 1990. Pretty much since Gaby´s respect towards Graf was over the top, and their doubles partnership was not helping.

First: I doubt you are older than me, but whatever...

Second: You talk about "two actively gay people", that they have secret gay lovers...I have never said anything like that  I'll tell you what I know. They were gay when they started they relationship (or bi, but they had gay relationships for sure). They wanted to raise a family and decided to do it together. When you are THAT famous, are SO respected, SO wealthy...who better to trust than one just like you? And then, they knew each other, they are both nice, well balanced people who get along well. No problem here. What happens from there I have no idea. Maybe they are now having thousands of lovers (you say that, I know nothing about it), maybe they just fell in love with each other in the process, maybe they are not sexually active anymore...I have no idea.

Fair enough. You know much better than me Gaby's stuff. I've heard both versions. As I said before, this is something I have read in BTP forum as I just started following tennis in 1989 :p
