Russia and United Kingdom dominated the girl semis and final in the US Open 2009!
Are they the coming powerhouse nation? Not surprised about Russia though.
Semis:
Yana Buchina (RUS) vs Laura Robson (GBR)
[9] Daria Gavrilova (RUS) vs [11] Heather Watson (GBR)
Final:
Yana Buchina (RUS) vs [11] Heather Watson (GBR)

The UK has always been a tennis powerhouse. Haven't you forgotten we have the all time female GOAT, Jo Durie (only player to have a winning H2H over Graf :worship: ), as well as the GOAT junior player of the last 10 years, Annabel Croft?

Has Buchina won? On Wiki it says Laura won 7-5 in the third but has Buchina's name in the finalists place

Not making excuses here or anything (why would i? this is the win of heather's career :bounce:) but do you think playing back to back matches hit the younger player in each case more than the older one? 2 years is an age difference at this age.
