Those of you who say Serena, please explain how she would win games off of Isner.

Serena would be struggling to glean a game unfortunately. The men's game and the women's game is just leagues apart in terms of physical strength. Isner hits the ball twice as hard as Serena on average, perhaps even more.

It'd be like locking a Lioness in a cage against a Male Lion. It's impossible for the former to prevail.

Isner, obviously. I don't think Serena would be able to string four good points together on serve enough to hold consistently. A game or two? Probably. But enough to be competitive? No.

Ok you can say that Isner would win but him hitting twice as hard as Serena :haha: He probbaly doesnt even beat her on average groundstroke speed. She'd win a few games on her serve.

If Isner had to serve underarm, I think Serena might win games...maybe Isner would win 1&3?
Patty Schnyder once beat a male player ranked 889 or summit in the world, 7-5, 7-6...I mean please...
People always site the matches between Venus and Serena and that random dude - That was 1999...something tells me the match would have been different in 2002-3, moreover, the match was only a set, If Justine can take the first set off rena 6-0, and that dude can only win it 6-2 off Venus, then by that logic Justine> dude!

Goatenin to join the ATP!

I'm too lazy to read the article but John Isner it clearly a fool and an attention seeker for saying something like this. Guess it's the only way he can get his name in the paper. His victory over Roddick was a flash in the pan, he'll fade back into obscurity soon enough and then nobody will play any attention to his silly remarks

44 people voting for Serena :o

Kirsten Braasch, ranked 203 on the mens tour, trashed Serena 6-1 years ago, while on a diet of beer, and while smoking cigarettes during the changeovers.

Isner would demolish Serena. Yes, Serena is the best womens tour player, IMO, but even the best female player would lose easily to pretty much any guy ranked in the top 300. One of Serenas most powerful first serves would be the equivalent of a crap second serve on the mens tour.
