Serena gets more USO crowd support than Venus

I think that unlike in Venus-Clisters match, this time the crowd will be more behind Serena. Although on this board, more people seem to like Venus than Serena, the larger US audience seems to prefer Serena. Lets forget about the actual Venus-Serena H2Hs that have occured at the USO because those matches are really anomalies. But twice now ('05 and '09), the USO crowd has really been a factor against Venus in big matches.

My theory for this is that Venus not only shows too little emotion during her matches, she also shows too much emotion after her victories, giving the impression of a showboater. Serena on the other hand is emotional all the way through, and I think the audience just finds her more authentic.

I'm sure Kim will have some support but no way like she has had against Venus.

Serena is MUCH more of a "personality" and is more "New York". Venus, in her younger days, used to be more emotive, but as she's matured, she's all about business. It's not bad per se, but it doesn't (oftentimes) create the best audience experience.

Plus, I think everyone still feels bad for 2004 :mad::fiery::sobbing::smash::sobbing:

It's cause Serena's Twitter is more fun than Venus's.

Both are well supported, but it just depends on who they face, you'll see in the semis, I don't think the crowd will be only routing for Serena, but also for Kim's comeback to continue. You'll see them also doing it for Wickmayer.
