Just read the score. I thought that could have been a tricky match for my faves but in the end it obviously was a pretty easy and quick affair, judging by the score.

So proud! Go and beat Black/Huber again next or take revenge on Llagostera-Vives/Martinez-Sanchez.

Sam & Rennae US Open Champions 2009 - I hope I haven't cursed it now... :o

Great win Sam and Rennae!! :bounce: Cheered me up to see that after Juanqui going out. I'm loving this resurgence of form they've had since the grass.

Rennae trying to do what Lisa did last year in partnering Sam Stosur to back-to-back Wimby-US finals.

Nice going Sam and Stubby :yeah: . Maybe this will be the tourney where Stubby gets her 60th title :p

Beth/Nads  Still a strong tourney :bounce: I wonder if they'll keep playing together now that Kat is back ?? :)

If Sam reaches the final...she'll have made the final of wimbledon and US open back to back....please get at least one title from those finals .

I actually got to see most of this match on TV before I left for work. Sam and Rennae walked all over MS/Petrova, no competition. Rennae served really, really well and on the whole a really strong match from both girls. :) If they play the way they did today for the next two matches they could win the whole thing.

Personally, I would love to see them take home the trophy. Firstly, it would make up for Sam's disappointing singles, and also because I want them to win a title together before Rennae retires. They're just too good a team to not have at least one title. Would be awesome if it was a slam. :bounce:

Good luck girls!
