Really? This is your response to somebody being a cutter? Honestly. Other people's children

As for Lindsay, absolutely regardless of what I may think of her otherwise, cutting is a serious issue. Hopefully she eventually gets help for this, and her other problems.

i agree.
I knew someone that cut herself. She was depressed and committed suicide when she was 15  Didn't knew her well but she was a student at my school.
So it indeed has nothing to do with attention

well you have to admit:

1st - shes addicted to drugs
2nd - she becomes a faux lesbian
3rd - shes a cutter

this girl is screaming for attention. whether you want to admit or not, she is. it may not be like pepaw suggested but this girl needs attention from her parents. she needs her mother to stop being a hollywood mom and trying to make a career for herself, because lets face it, who the hell will ever care about dina lohan? and she needs her father to stop being an alcohol addicted, abusing douche bag and step up and start being real parents to her. its sad to think of what this girl could have been if she would've had some sane parents.

This post is reasonable, and I agree. The other was rather flippant, which was why I commented on it.

Cutting isn't a joke, so (and I'll assume it is until proven not) if this is true, that's really sad to hear.
And if it is for attention, that's even more upsetting for all the kids out there who are cutting.

That sucks, but really some of the poeple only do it for attention. I'm not saying she's one of them, but you never know.
I feel sorry for her though, she used to be so pretty. Such a shame.

I sympathize for the fact that Lindsay clearly did not grow up in a particularly stable, or healthy home environment with her parents as a child, and through her formative years, and I also have no doubt that people who are child stars go through a different life that has to be challenging...But there also comes a point where we have to realize that Lindsay is now 23 years old, and ultimately no longer the responsibility of her parents. She is an adult now, and regardless of whatever issues she had growing up, she has to be made accountable for her actions being her own. It is up to Lindsay to decide what she wants to do with her life now, and whether she wants to use her experiences as a way to be a stronger person and seek help where necessary, or to continue to make poor choices that only further hurt herself. I hope that she can work out whatever issues she is going through, but I think we need to move on from the parent talk. Lindsay's a very immature, but grown woman now, so she needs to own whatever choices she makes as an adult...

well yes, you're correct. shes an adult woman now and she needs to take responsibility for herself. and i think the best thing would be for her to go to rehab and start going to a therapist.

you're wrong in saying that what happened to her as a child doesnt effect how you are as an adult. most drug addicts have some trumatic incident that happened to them along the way that made them start using. nobody wakes up one day and says "im gonna start snorting coke! :D" her father was an addict, so at a young age, she was exposed to destructive behaivor piled ontop of her dads abusive behavior, her mom being crazy and putting all this pressure on her with her acting.

at this point, its not about whose fault it is for doing what. the real focus should be getting linds into a good treatment program and have her and her family to go to counseling. that is the best way for her to take control of her life again and start really living. cause lets face it, this girl isnt really far away from winding up another young celebrity whose life was cut short.

I never said that what happened to her as a child hasn't affected her, I have no doubt that it has, as our childhood experiences affect us all...But I think we also forget that Lindsay is an adult now, so regardless of what she has gone through, she needs to take more responsibility now for how she deals with and reacts to whatever she went through growing up. I hope that she can get her life back on track too - Clearly she's a pretty young lady with some talent for acting, who is very very lost right now, and she needs to seek help and try to surround herself with better people before it's too late...

The people who do it "only for attention" are just as sick as those who keep it hidden.

what you're not understanding is that her childhood is hindering her adulthood. yes, the easy thing to say is grow up and take repsonsbility for yourself. but when it comes to an addict, they usually dont know where to begin. i guarentee you that no addict can just wake up one day and quit doing drugs and/or drinking and start their life over. its a long process that she cant do by herself. cause let's be honest here, if it were that easy to stop addiction, everyone would do it. we're on the same page that she needs to grow up. but what you need to understand is that its more complicated then that. she needs to find out and deal with the reasons that make her do drugs, that make her cut herself so that she can start living a life where she doesnt have to be afraid.

People don't cut themselves simply for attention. :banghead: There are other, more efficient ways to get attention. You people are so cold and heartless. :help:

I don't believe it's for attention, if she wanted attention she could get it in much easier and less painful ways than cutting herself. I do believe she needs some intervention though, for her own sake.

It's such a shame. Over the summer I met up with one of my friends who I hadn't seen for a couple of years. Her arms were covered in cuts, and she told me she had just been recovering from a fierce battle with bulimia. She looked so depressed, and I just wanted to cry. She used to be the life of the party, and was now just this subdued, pallid girl.

Depression really is horrible.

Now what did Lindsay Lohan say about rumors???

I'm tired of rumors starting
I'm sick of being followed
I'm tired people lieing
people saying what they want about me...

Plus everyone knows Lindsay is a snorter first. :tape:

So am I.
Probably one of the few who admits to having a Lindsay Lohan playlist on my Itouch.

Bossy, the Mike Rizzo Funk Generation Mix, is one of the best mixes of the year.

She was pretty good in that movie with the Lennon killer.

My aunt let me borrow this movie with Lindsay in it called Labor Pains.
