when draw come out, everyone on here say top half is so difficult and bottom half is easy. now with Jankovic, Dementieva, Ivanovic, Razzano etc. out, the top half is a mess. :help:

The projected bottom half R16, Azarenka v Li, Clijsters v Venus, Zvonareva v Pennetta, Hantuchova v Serena look worth Grand Slam. :hearts: If these are the match, then lucky the fans that have tickets

On the top half, Safina section look like a Mini Mouse tournament, like the one she played in Slevenia :tape: If there was any other players here, then Safina already out but she will make SF now :o

And the other section is Christmas gift to Sharapova with players she own :sobbing:

I knew the Bottom half would become the difficult half.

Azarenka, Clijsters, Venus, Serena, Pennetta, Zvonareva - All more reliable than the higher seeds in the Top Half.

Because the other players can't play to their seeding?

Say what we want about Dinara, she's still there, and others aren't.

playing to her seeding means being a finalist so she hasn't fulfilled that either yet/

Yeah, when ITF made the draw, they so knew the two most inform player who just won the most recent Premier tournaments were going to drop out in R2

Oh wait, maybe they actually hired the Russian Mafia to threaten these two players, and forced them to tank the match so that Maria and Safina's half would be easier, and in order to make it not so obviously, they even came up with a plan to make both matches 3 setters, so that people wouldn't suspect, but obvously nothing can be hidden from people from WTA World, we all know now.

if the top half is so weak then why is it the top seeds are getting beat?

well, anyone who actually KNEW what they were talking about didnt say this.....I stated long ago that Venus had the hardest section.... followed by Sharapova/ Dementieva... because Venus had all the players who were in form before this summer.... Serena and Safina's draws were always a joke....Now so is Sharapovas...

Are you kidding me? Serena couldve potentially had Bammer, Stosur (players who beat her last time) can still have Li Na ,Azarenka

The bottom half was probably tougher to begin with, but yes, now it's ridiculously tougher. And Safina has been pretty shaky too, so she may very well be going next. Hopefully Sharapova can get her serve together and take advantage of this :bounce:

It's basically Maria vs. Serena/Vika/Venus/Kim

Are you listening to yourself.... Bammer/ Stosur...Players she never should have lost too.... I'll give you Li Na (if shes in Serena's quarter, I think shes in Venus' As shes dangerous if ONE)

Azarenka is in Venus' Quarter... Semi's dont count... you're expected to draw one of the top 8 in the semis... When we look at difficulty you look at how the quarters break down.... Serena and Safinas quarters are jokes....

You've names one girl...And I just looked Li Na is in Venus quarter.....

Quite the opposite. Every analyst either said the bottom half was tougher or that it was pretty balanced. Yes - of course the top half is opened up more - doesn't take an Einstein to figure that out. But the bottom half was always the harder with both Williams sisters. And Clijsters randomly thrown in that half for good measure (not good enough to be seeded ha ha that's a laugh) - not to mention Azarenka.

Now Slevenia, some days ago Percog :o
Don't write if you don't know.

And about draw - it's thing of luck. You can't do nothing. But it is true that bottom half is much stronger now. ;)

I wish Vika or Kim were in the bottom half. It would have been awesome to see a youngster like Vika make it to the finals, or a comeback success like Kim accomplish it.

Obviously Melanie and Jaroslava were strong enough to beat Dementjeva and Janković. For sure they may choke in the next round ... but ... let`s see. Everyone can have a bad day ... Serena and Venus too.
