Of course a death in the family will affect anyone, including Jankovic.

And I don't think it is right to say it is an excuse.

I'm not sure if it's a reliable source though.

Are you for real? How can you say someone would use it as a fakeexcuse? Maybe it's what you would do, otherwise you wouldn't recognise it in others.

You are scum, pure low life scum and hopefully one day when your mother, father or anyone very, very close to you dies and hopefully it will be soon so as you know what it feels like :D , someone who is a similar low life peasant like yourself will say that they hope you aren't using it as an excuse because you couldn't carry out your job or studies properly.

Here's hoping .... you evil bastard

Poor JJ and mommy Sneki. What an effort for JJ to play to the distance with a broken heart. Go home and be with you family now girl. You don't have to worry about the tennis now, just take care of your mom, she's gonna need you.

Jelena's comments about the situation:
"My grandma died and we were really close. I am very sad and that's why I basically wasn't even on court today. I really tried to give my best and play, but it was very difficult for me. You could see I wasn't happy on court, I was really suffering. I tried to focus only on my game but it seems I was late to get the ball and slow. I couldn't even see the ball clearly, that was my problem. There are more important things in life than tennis. Thinking about it, this loss looks very small compared to when someone in your family dies. This is a very difficult situation for me."

She also says Shvedova played much better than in their previous match a couple of years ago.

She is coming to Serbia tomorrow.

Just so sad. Jelena seems to have the worst luck around the time of her losses. Something always happens to her, as though someone up just doesn't want her to perform on the biggest stage. Illness, bereavement, monthly cycles.

JJ gave up so many game/set/match points which says a lot about how she felt. When you think about it winning this match meant very little to her because it is just a game after all and she wanted to be with her family. But she gave the fans a thrilling match which says a lot about her.

No offence but she would either play to win, or tank to see her family - I dont think she would give a rats ass about who enjoyed it and how much, and neither should she considering the circumstances.
