Same #1 ranking, same lack of belief in her serve.

Would Safina be better off also playing doubles in slams for enjoyment like Mauresmo does?

That's what I have been thinking for some time. I really think she would play Doubles as there is no pressure on her ;)

Mauresmo's talent>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Safina's talent

But yes, I see your point.

Would take a brave coach to use Mauresmo as a template considering her current form.

She should play doubles. She could win some slams that way first and it might take the pressure off, plus the added serve practice.
It's a pretty good comparison, and they are both total head cases.

Momo saw a sports psychologist and now own 2 majors against Justine so all is not lost. Maybe Safina should follow likewise.

Safina takes advantage of early round chokers.

I'd reckon Safina would have to be seeing a sports psychologist already, be shocked if she wasn't. If she or her coach can't see that she needs one... :help:

I think the coach needs one also. She is too addicted to their co-dependency relationship and I think it is doing more harm than good.:help:
