I've seen her play about six times now, and each time I am less and less impressed. The (supposed) Pavs hype is :help: to me. She just looks shit.

Congrats Mel! Great play! Where is the name "Oudin" from?

Meh, Pavlyuchenkova was good at Indian Wells, but she hasn't impressed me much since then.
Good win for Oudin, she'll probably face Dementieva next, knock her out Oudin ;)

Pavlyuchenkova is talented but so overrated. Has far too many off days.

Oudin meanwhile is a dead set gun in the making.

I agree completely  Pavlyuchenkova has a great backhand but the rest of her game is nothing special

Pavlyuchenkova's game is just...horrid right now. UE after UE. She usually plays more consistent than this.

Great job Melanie!! :) Played absolutely amazing, and didn't really let Pavlyuchenkova in at all. Won like the first 12 points of the match and was even pretty good on serve, which is one of the weaker parts of her game.

Anastasia beat herself :help: 11 winners to 37 UEs.

Oudin also had 19 winners in just 15 games. Considering she plays good defense, this isn't surprising.

SHe's clearly the best out of the crop of new US players and the only one that seems to be getting good results right out of the gate of juniors.

Dementieva will be a hard component. Probably will be a number of baseline rallies for the two of them.
