Lisicki seems to have changed her serve motion. Was such a fluid motion at wimbledon.. Now shes trying a abbreviated swing :o Very sharapovaesque :help: 6 DFs already! Anyone knows why she changed it? Any shoulder injuries?

She also talked about it and said that it doesn't feel natural but her shoulder doesn't hurt then

I know; I'm glad it's protecting her shoulder, but she really used to have a gorgeous looking serve; now it's just meh. I HATE these abbreviated things; and yes, it looks like Maria's.

she had a shoulder injury bit hitting 7 dfs in 6 service games isn't so unusual for her..

At least she isn't hitting them left, right and center like Sharapova enjoys doing.

Nothing can compare to Pavly's service motion. Its just painful to watch now :tape:

but she was also hitting aces to make up for the DFs...right now...not so much. I just hope it's just temporarily.

Noooooo, I loved her serve at Wimbledon...hopefully this is just a temporary thing as she comes back from injury.

I remember one of the commentators saying she had one of the best serves she's ever seen on the women's tour.

It's a shame that injuries have forced her hand.

Well Lisicki last year was a player that had an average of 7-8dfs per match so I always considered her serve as not a sure thing. Though her 1st serve was really solid!

OMG she lost 2nd set tiebreak after being 4:0 up

hopefully she can go back to normal after it heals :)

If she has to do this adjusted serve for now, why would she still take so much risk while serving? That only made sense as long as she had 20 or 30 service winners per game.
