No good matches and no upsets. Blah. Both womens and mens draw.

I agree. I haven't watched a single decent match today. Hopefully it will pick up tomorrow.

I just hope that Sveta is in the first category, i.e. playing a good match, rather than in the second, i.e. in the upset match :p

I was hoping tomorrow would pick up as most of my favourites are playing, but for some reason Jeremy and Gilles arent. Still, im hoping Lisicki and Rezai is a cracker. Hopefully Sabs is match-fit enough for it, rather then another Roland Garros situation.

not really an upset despite the seeding but still a good match.

I enjoyed the Sugiyama/Stosur match. Not a classic but I'll tkae players regularly in the vicinity of the net.

you should be a chak fan, another heart attack 3 setter.

seriously a less than stellar 1st week is cool with me, you want big names in the 2nd week for a cracking tournament.

Shaughnessy's thrilling upset will be on later;)
Anyways, you have Sharapova-Pironkova tomorrow which should be a close match.

I like it. No upsets is good early on, gives us much better matches in the latter rounds. ^^ I mean, there will definetly be some interesting third round matches if the seeds hold. Except for clijsters and Dokic and some other exceptions. ;)

I agree everything so far has been average at best.

I agree with other posters, I'd rather it was boring now, and all the big names made the 2nd week.

Much more exciting potential match ups

yeah but the issue is not only in lack of upsets, but lack of standard and lack of desire from a low ranked players to make a name for themselves even if they lose at the end
