View Full Version : How can I do this? (map application)

I want a mapping application to keep track of the walks I am taking. The walks are all 100 minutes long, and go on many different streets. Each walk has a different route.

- I want to draw the path of the walk in the map and save it.
- I think allowing me to select a color for each route would be a good idea.
- I want to see the miles walked for each walk.
- And I want to save my data.

I use Mapquest for a lot of things, but don't see how I could do this on Mapquest. Is it possible, or is there another site to use?

I haven't actually tried it, but this might be the ticket:

^^ Looks good! Will check that, thanks! :D

I'm finding something on Google Maps too - there is a video that explains how to do pretty much what I'm asking for.

Yeah, I was going to say try My Maps in Google. It will let you use different colors for different routes, get distances, save maps etc.

Thanks this is what I am trying. The maps are not easy to draw, especially when you get to the second one, third one, etc. Drawing some on top of others, the route point markers start moving and messing up the new drawing. But it does do exactly what I want, even calculates the mileage. (My walk tonight was 7.1 miles! ) Thanks.
