If I have row G, can I still see anything or follow the ball?
Can you see anything from Promenade seating in Ashe?barboza Aug 23rd, 2009, 10:43 PM If I have row G, can I still see anything or follow the ball? Jarl_02 Aug 23rd, 2009, 10:57 PM Yes, when I went I sit there, and you can follow the ball Leo_DFP Aug 23rd, 2009, 10:58 PM Of course. The stadium is big but you can see the tennis from anywhere inside of it. Sometimes Ashe is a nice change of pace. I mean if you ever watch tennis up close, it'd be a nice change of pace. WowWow Aug 23rd, 2009, 11:43 PM It's really hard to follow from all the way up there. AnomyBC Aug 24th, 2009, 03:46 AM It depends. Are you planning to bring a telescope? :) NeeemZ Aug 24th, 2009, 03:50 AM It depends. If it's behind the baseline then it's slightly better. But, if the ticket is for the first week I would suggest that you spend the time at outside courts instead. An Ashe tix is good for any court. If you can get a court side seat at Grandstand why bother stay at Ashe? barboza Aug 24th, 2009, 05:29 AM My friend and I were just wondering whether it's worth getting the Ashe ticket since we are only going for one day together. I mean if we're at the US Open, we might as well experience Ashe for a match, right? And do you know if Ashe tickets will still be available on the day itself? I heard that grounds passes will still be available if you arrive around 9am and line up at the ticket booth. Tstuff Aug 24th, 2009, 07:46 AM Yes, you can see passengers fly by you on their way to/from LaGuardia Airport. Bring supplemental oxygen and resign yourself to the fact that the architect was not much interested in the quality of the tennis viewing. It was all about squeezing in two rows of corporate boxes... | |
