Dulko must be with Peer and Kirilenko with Vesnina.

I just don't get it why Flavia doesn't team up with either Gisela or Maria. I understand she wants to play with Sara so that they can play Fed Cup, but she's done great with Dulko (won 2 titles this year -3 titles overall- and made another final as well in Bogota). She's had some good results with Makiri too so why can't she choose one partner and play with her a whole season? :o

Srebotnik is undoubtedly an experienced doubles player, but she has missed quite a time on the tour. Although doubles is easier for comeback than singles is, I'm not sure they can get really far.

That said, good to see Srebotnik back and hopefully I'm wrong. If it's true I personally feel happy with this combo. :)

So do I. There are a lot of tournament, why Flavia has to practise with Errani just at Us Open?.... Maybe she want an early exit to concentrate to the singles

And Italy has Roberta Vinci for doubles in Fed Cup, a double Pennetta-Errani is less important

ehh Flavia and Sara did win the doubles title in Rosmalen. Why not play with Errani at the USO?

Thanks again for this TBE.
So this is the final list?

Are there no more alt's?

Is it 57 direct and 7 WC;s?

If it is final- can't belive no Raymond-Kveta.
Given the US open lead Ups- get to Kveta but thought Lisa would still bee playing with someone else!

Also really sad that there is no Amelie and Kveta,,,,,

Surpised no Domingues, Camerin (maybe they entered and didn't make the top 65??)
Although Chaky and MEC have played last few GS's together.
No Pavlyuchenkova? Thought she would play
Kinda no surpised no Sabine L given she has been inj- shame none the less.
No Tammy T either- I wonder if she will actually play singles?
No Jelena- no surpise
If this list doesn't have WC's- I hope they give them too
1. Coco -McHale
2. Molik /Meg S
3. Perry -Haynes
4. Zalameda -Moulton Levy
5. Lee Waters- Osterlich
6. Albanese -Brengle
7. Ahn Muhammad

They don't use the singles ranking for doubles seeding - it's just for entry, Dave. It's to encourage singles players to enter doubles event - so if they're not ranked high enough in doubles they can still get in.
Doubles seedings only take into account doubles rankings (i.e. Williams/Williams won't be #2)

Oh right, thanks goodness for that! Although the WS being 2 wouldn't be such a problem as they are near enough to it.

But the fact they use singles rankings AT ALL for entry is stupid enough. That a prefectly capable doubles player could get pushed over for a crappy doubles player who just happens to have a good singles ranking and just wants some more matchplay is so unfair IMO.

tbh, I just want the best doubles players in the draw and I think that's what most of the tennis-knowing public would want too, not to see two singles players who might be useless at doubles. The doubles at the US Open hardly shown at all on tv and they're always going to sell tickets so what does it matter if the singles stars play the doubles?

good to see kveta on the list:)

Same! I just hope she actually plays. :scared:

 It's to commercialize the doubles game more. An every day onlooker would rather watch Sharapova play doubles than Uhlirova play doubles, regardless of actual doubles talent  It's harsh on doubles specialists, I do agree, however..
At the Roger's Cup, the matches with the most attendance outside Center Court was Nadal/Roig vs. Djokovic/Vemic, and Roig has been retired for 10 years and is 41 years old  But on the flip side, this showcased a doubles specialist Dusan Vemic, who otherwise might not have been seen at all (well, barring the fact he was playing with Novak)
Diehard tennis fans like us would rather watch Stubbs, Black, Huber, Sugiyama over Sharapova, Ivanovic, etc playing doubles, but everyday people would just rather watch known players. Somewhere along the line this commercializes doubles though.

(but I get pissed when my players can't get into draws because of it :o like Hanley/Aspelin this week in Cincy :o)
