Being very GENERAL...Australians and Europeans love techno/house music. From my experience, Americans and Asian people tend to prefer R and B and rap.

What are your thoughts?

Remixaholic to the nth power.

I use to be a big fan of progressive trance and jungle but it's a little too hardcore for me now.
Disco house, gospel house, dance, dance remixes, trance, ambient.

I love DJs like Eric Kupper, Thick Dick, Maurice Joshua, David Morales, Moto Blanco, Freemasons, Michael Migs, Jason Nevins, Joey Negro, Love To Infinity, DJ Irene, Ralphi Rosario, Tony Coluccio, Mike Rizzo, Tracy Young, Peter Rauhofer, Chris Cox, Johnny Vicious, Bimbo Jones, Dave Aude, etc.

I'm American. I love everything.

OMG David Guetta and Chris Willis are back at it again.
They have the best collabos.

I love their last collabo with the Ghostbuster background sounds, My Freedom.
So kool.

Umm, I love GOOD minimal techno, and GOOD house.
Happy House by The Juan MacLean is one of the best tracks I've ever heard.
And I love new-disco, and some old ones.

Every genre has the potential for good music. There's just a lot of really shitty techno and house out there.

i'm european and i voted yes, but i think things are more complicated than that. i wouldn't talk about techno and house, but about electronic or club music. there are dozens of different genres and more diversity in sound than plenty of people think. i also don't think there is a clear cut division between techno and hip hop. plenty of electronic music genres incorporate hip hop influences (some african electronic music, but even more so english ones - jungle, uk garage, uk funky etc) and electronic music has been very present in club-oriented hip hop for good 10 years now. personally i tend not to go for the most commercial stuff and i sure try to stay away from trance as far as possible, but i don't mind a track becoming famous. it's just that i am always looking for something new and interesting.

i also dj myself, i played some african house music on a radio show on wednesday. and to be honest, if i want to listen club music without wanting to play it myself, i will listen to it in dj sets. some of electronic music only shines in a dj set, not as an individual track played on the radio. it's not pop music.
