Elyne lost with that score. Just came back from the seaside and we stopped at Westende to have a quick look at the scores. At the moment we left Valerie was leading 63 against Burnett and I remember to have seen on the drawsheet all Belgian girls that already had played today, lost.
Saw the first set of Valerie. The girl can play tennis but has to work on her serve! I think she hardly lost a rally the entire first set, but only in the first two of her service games, she double faulted 6 times! Also her return needs some improvement. Her groundstrokes on the other had are good and smart. In contract to Burnett, Valerie can move and run around the court. Burnett is just all hard-hitting but no brains. She has a good serve and good return, but there it stops. The times she missed a ball while the court was open :o I hope Valerie continued to win every rally... don't know how the match ended...
Anyway, what bothered me with the four players I saw on the two courts, was there energy-level/will to win/fire/drive! Jeezes, looked like they were only there because somebody forced them to be on court :help:The only times I saw signs of energy was when things were going bad and there was a silent curse or a racket that was bounced once against the court... They could all learn something from Yanina in that department ;)

I was at the Wahlstedt tournament today and Elke Lemmens was really impressive. She's only 14 and very small but she has all the shots, also played a good doubles match. Great talent, will definitely keep an eye on her. :) Should work on her temper a little though. ;)
