Ai should dump Daniela. They're going nowhere and they're not going to qualify for the YEC yet again.

they're fine . they are just way to inconsistent .

yeah as much as i like hantuyama, ai needs to get another partner.
daniela is just not committed as she needs to be and is just dragging down ai along with her, unfortunately.

maybe a clijsters or akgul pairing again :D

i wish julie halard wasn't retired or i wish she was younger , such an amazing team .
i don't think clijsters would be as committed to doubles right now .

After the title in Eastbourne this year....this is the one I'm hoping for!!! :yeah: :hearts: :worship:

:bounce: Akgul & Ai :bounce:

btw - Just wanted to add.....when Ai & Akgul played together at Eastbourne, they were a great team! Both of them looked like they were having so much fun, very business like but at the same time big smiles and loads of encouragement for eachother!! They were so fun to watch :D

I dont think Sugiyama was upset ... as a tennis player i think she understood Dani was tired after 3 straightdays of 3 ste matches... AND a 2 hourn and 50 minute match an hour before...

As much as Ai has to be disappointed, this is nothing compared to the year she and Kim were #1 and Kim had to pull out of doubles at the U.S open after the draw was made. Is the entry list out for Toronto?

But I think if Sugiyama were in that position, she would still play the doubles, and I get the feeling that is what she expects of Hantuchova (and one of the reasons why they split before perhaps). Especially with this being one of the key hardcourt tournaments and many points available.

Although that's just what I think I don't actually know about Ai and Dani's arrangement.

Of course Ai would play! Anyone remember the year that she played her singles SF, F and doubles F all in the same day, and won? AMAZING

Yeah, I remember that day it was awesome. It was in Scottsdale and Ai beat Kim and Alexandra Stevenson and then went out and won the doubles with Kim after that. Ai iron woman. :worship:

She beat Lindsay in the singles earlier in the week too, and Lindsay/Lisa in the doubles final. That week was just scary good from Ai!

Wasn't it singles SF, singles F, doubles SF AND doubles F in one day? I'm pretty sure! Ai :worship:
Whoever Ai is content to play with, I will be content for her!
I just hope she can win one more Slam before it all ends (preferably the Australian) - and I don't know if that can happen as inconsistent as this pairing is
I always wanted to see Sugiyama/Zheng, :hearts:
